Default Rank the safeties in this draft 1-10

This is 1 of the few positions where there is no clear cut #1 prospect and depending on who you ask it could be any 1 of 3 or 4 guys.

Mine would go as follows:

#1- Reid
#2- Elam
#3- Vaccaro
#4- Rambo
#5- Thomas
#6- Swearinger
#7- Jefferson
#8- McDonald
#9- S. Williams
#10- D. Williams

Reid 1? lol

Elam and Shawn Williams will have the two best careers. Elam by far. Reid is so overrated it's not even funny. Shawn Williams will have a Dashon Gholston effect on whatever defense he goes to. Knocking people out and enforcing.

I saw McDonald and Monte work together, after that I rank McDonald number 10.

I'm like you Reid is overrated. I wonder why fans think he is so good.

I must admit that when absolutely certain statements like this are made as player evaluations I get a chuckle.

I'm no expert but I'm not impressed with any of them except Phillip Thomas. I'd put him at 1, even if he's a small school kid.

Dude clearly gets the concept of how important turnovers are too...

We don't even mention turnovers because they are so unheard of.

I'll give you a name of a CB that I think could be moved to FS in the NFL, and could thrive in a cover 2 system: David Amerson, NC State. He is 6-2, 194 and played FS in high school before switching to CB. He is very physical and played a lot of zone in college. What I like most is that he has 18 career interceptions, knows how to read the QB's eyes and jump routes. The reason why I think he may be moved to FS is because he doesn't have the straight line speed that NFL CB's need and got burned some in man coverage. If he keeps the action in front of him, I think he will be spectacular.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

Rambo has 16 INTs and 6 FFs during his career at Georgia......He knows a little bit about the turnover game.

I've watched a lot of tape on most of these guys and I'm confident it's:

1. Elam
2. Vacarro (very close 2nd)
3. Reid
4. Jefferson
5. Williams
6. Rambo
7. Thomas
8. McDonald
