Default Ronde Barber

Rhode Barber should be a guy Dallas looks at this offseason. I know he is 37 but he knows the Tampa 2 better than any player on the NFL today and we need a safety that can play the scheme.

No thanks I will pass. I think it is important to build a soild young team and not go after "old" players because they know the system. We will only set ourselves back because the FO will say oh well we are set at that position now. We can't have that we need to get a young safety in the 1st or 2nd rd. We haven't drafted a safety high in years and it's been a problem it seems like every year. So know I think we should pass and let the coaches coach and the players learn and play.

Ronde won't play for another team.

If he's waived, he'll retire I'm sure.

He may retire anyway.

He'll probably just re-sign with Tampa. He's been their franchise for 15 years and already has a Super Bowl ring so I could see him just riding off into the sunset there like Reggie Wayne with the Colts.

The guy has had an amazing career though...he hasn't missed a game in 13 straight seasons, that is incredible

It would be great to have him help out at camp if he wants to break in coaching.

Finally someone suggests getting a safety! Lets get out there and sign a 37 year old free safety to start on our defense! Maybe Favre wants to play cornerback for us too.

He played FS this past season for the Bucs and was certainly better than what we had out there. I know you all poo poo pff but he's the second highest graded UFA S behind only Jairus Byrd.

I don't know if he has anything left in the Tank or not but I'll tell you this, I think Barber would be a heck of a DB coach.
