The chances are greater this guy is never heard from again after training camp than him becoming a serviceable NFL player. He's on the roster so he still has a chance. But it would be risky, to say the least, for the Cowboys to expect much from this guy. They obviously really like his potential, so we'll see...

I'm courious to see what the kid can do too. I think its silly to blame him for the injuries. All the Church love, and as soon as he won a starting job and got a new contract. He promtly gets hurt and is out for the year. where is his hate.

If you are gonna hate on Church you might want to get your info correct. He got hurt and then they gave him the contract. But go ahead and hate on Church.

this season has so much potential to self destruct to proportions previously unseen. depending on the health of injury prone and/or old players that we're supposed to have trust in...

lol, that's an indictment against this teams safeties if Johnson is your favorite.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

What a weak attempt at an insult. Lets see you brought up Church said they gave him a contract then he got hurt why isn't anyone hating on him? Why should people hate on a guy who has flashed the ability to actually play? He earned hi praise from his coaches and was even awarded a new contract based on the fact that he put together a great offseason preseason and 2 solid games. He also has played well over the last couple of seasons and that's why he secured a starting spot. Matt Johnson can't even get on the practice field let along a game. So all this talk about him is really really premature. If you can't see that. Well I don't know what to tell you. But no reason to drag another player into this discussion just to prove some lame point you are trying to make.
