I believe Geep Chryst is a guy that Garrett is waiting on also. I don't think it will be as offensive coordinator. I think he will be hired as a position coach.

Then again, It also wouldn't suprise me if you were right. Hopefully we will know something soon. Great call!

But why would he want to leave as a position coach with SF to be a position coach here? Unless he's promoted to running game coordinator or something I suppose . . . .

Yeah, you are probably right, we may have to have him as as a running game or passing game coordinator. I just don't think that he will be the OC. I still think that Garrett and Callahan will put the game plan together and Callahan calls the plays on gameday. JMHO

Leave a SB team for a title? He stays in SF and he's OC when Roman gets a HC gig

Not unless he's made the OC here. Of course, Callahan has that title, but it is intriguing that we haven't hired a new RB, WR, or TE coach (at least, haven't heard anything). Perhaps Garrett is looking to bring in Chryst in some capacity (perhaps OC), and then let him have say in who the position coaches are.

And Roman won't get a HC job this year. Jobs are all already filled. Perhaps next year, but as has been posted, the Chrysts and the Garretts are pretty closed. For all we know, this could have all been decided already.
There's always more to the story.

It would not surprise me, but I would be disappointed.

Jerry has been know to pay big dollars to assistant coaches.

Houck was the highest paid OL coach in the league while he was with the Cowboys.

He's not on a Super Bowl team, but another possible option could be Hue Jackson whose contract expires this month.

It makes sense for waiting. Jason is looking at some on either roster to fill the positions

I read earlier this week where Cincy made him the RB coach.
