I am not an old-timer, more like a mid-timer. I am old enough to know that age =wisdom. I went through the stage that you are in at this point of your life. In about twnety years you will look back and realize that you weren't so smart after all. Life is a great teacher. The longer you live, the more it will teach you.

You are over-reacting and exaggerating.
I have only stated that having 6 kids with 4 different women, none your wife, .. is wrong. I continue to stand by that. I would say the same if I had 6 kids by 4 different women. I am not judging the person doing it, just saying that it is wrong. There is a difference.
LOL, LOL, you are really something else, .. what I'm not sure.
You accuse me of judging, which I am not. And then proceed to judge me, Welkers wife, the parents and families of Richard Lollar and Jacinth Baker. Did I miss anyone?
Talk about a throne.
[View Full Quote]Bottom line, in this thread, my only point all along has been that whether it was Ray Lewis, me, you, or Jerry Jones, .. any man having 6 kids, 4 women, no wives, .. is wrong. On many levels.

Amen. It is incredibly disappointing to read members justifying this. I guess the star power of Ray Lewis overcomes common sense and decency.
Sad.

I agree. Lewis is one of many that has their behaviour overlooked due to the simple reason that they have done well in sports. The same thing goes for many entertainers. I think it speaks volumes about priorities in our culture.

Well, first off.. my name isn't Roy.
You know nothing about me other than what i post on a football board.
WV may be a stand up guy.. im not arguing that, in fact, i said i agree with what his moral values appear to be. However, i, and many others, don't agree with his stance on this topic. He's clearly judging a man he knows nothing about.. and then trying to proclaim that his way of doing things is the "right" way, and others ways are the "wrong" way.
Its silly and ignorant.. so i argued as much.. as did many others. Im not sure where you come in, but if you had some thoughts on the topic i'd enjoy reading them.. rather than just coming in all confrontational.

Life is a great teacher.. which is why im not naive enough to believe such a simplistic view as yours. Age isn't the only bringer of wisdom and individuals all have different experiences at different times in their lives that bring them perspective on the world. Again, you know nothing about me.. or my morals, values, experiences, or beliefs, so please stop speaking as if you have a clue. That's ignorance to a "T".

Every thread that comes up concerning the moral conduct of a star player, you have a habit of excusing his actions and at times, defending the actions. Me and you have debated many times. You have a short memory. We have debated enough on these topics that I know what your position will be. Unless your post are total BS, you have expressed your values and morals enough in previous post for me to know what they are. This is not our first rodeo, so there is no need for the "you don't know me" thing.

I will call you hammer so that you are not offended. You take these arguments to heart. LOL Knowing that right is right and wrong is wrong is not judging. WV Cowboy considered Lewis's behaviour wrong. It was wrong before Lewis done it. If anything, the behaviour is bring judged.
I don't have a problem with "judging" myself. I call a thief a thief. That is not to say that he can't have some good qualities. Welker's wife told the truth about Lewis. If he gets labeled or judged, he earned it. A consistant type of wrong behaviour brings labels and judging with it. The only way to prevent this is for the person not to do it.

Just curious but what the heck does the number of women a person has been with have to do with rather they have good advice on how to treat women?
Obviously if the guy has only had one girlfriend or has been married a really long time to that one person he knows a little something about how to treat a woman. That's pretty quality advice, IMO.
I'd definately listen to a guy whose had 1 wife for 40+ years over a guy trying to tell me how to treat a woman whose 40 years old and has been married 3 or 4 times.
It seems pretty obvious to me that the guy whose had multiple chances and hasn't figured it out (which, btw, wouldn't be all on him either but none the less he'd share the blame in the failure of the relationship) isn't exactly the best person to give me advice, and certainly not better advice than a guy whose managed to keep the same woman happy for decades.
All that said I'm not sure how any of this has anything to do with Ray Lewis and rather or not he's a good person or father based on the fact that he's chosen to sleep with multiple people without being married.
To me, personally, I don't think people having had multiple partners makes them a good or bad person. Maybe that's just me.
