Good stuff but how did you determine there will be 31 comp picks? I thought that fluctuated year to year and won't be determined until March.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

AdamJT13 last year said the CBA demands 253 Draft picks. And I goofed in calling them Supplemental instead of Compensatory. Wish I could fix that now.

Is that at least 253 or it has to be 253 every year?

This is good info to know.

Thanks Hos.

Huh. Only one team finished 9-7 this year. Weird.

Okay, I actually looked it up, and I reported this wrong. It is a total of 32 Compensatory picks to make it essentially an 8 round Draft even though there are not 8 rounds.

So, my 31 is wrong and there will be 254 picks because of the 2 lost to Cleveland and New Orleans. It can be up to 256, but never more than that.

My bad for a bad interpretation and I will fix this info as the Super Bowl is played. So for the most part this is as things stand right now, but with the trades still to be processed and the Comp picks added it is still a work in progress.

Again, my bad.

The Draft has 7 rounds, but in reality, the number of picks would equal that of an 8 round affair.

32 x 8 = 256

every draft has 256 picks to start off with.....the number decreases with forfeited picks and supplemental draft picks. So like Hos stated, the Saints forfeited a pick and the Browns used one in the Supplemental draft, so 256 how now become 254.

And Hos was also correct the last time, it is 32 picks, the equivalent of an entire extra round.
