Jerry Jones, Jay Ratliff meet
Dallas Cowboys starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff has met with team owner and general manager Jerry Jones about being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, according to a source.
Jones, who had been attending practices for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., returned to Dallas on Wednesday and discussed the arrest with Ratliff at the Cowboys' Valley Ranch complex.
Ratliff's agent, Mark Slough, did not respond for comment regarding the meeting with Jones.
NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello said Thursday the league is aware of Ratliff's arrest and that it's standard procedure to follow up on all DUI cases through the substance abuse and personal conduct policy.

Outta here, fella.
Go pedal your non-team attitude and poor work ethic somewhere else.
Out of patience with this cancer of a player.

I wonder if the locker room incident was in the conversation? I think Rat is done being an impact player. His contract was a stupid move by Jerry. Maybe he will stay one more year considering the situation with the cap and holes on the DL. One more year to actually slap Jerry.

is jerry in the business of winning football games or sending messages? we save a measly 1million dollars if we cut him and have to replace him with a player worth 3-5 times as much. it would only hurt the team if we did this. ratliff would get picked up in 2 seconds by one of our nfc east foes.

It doesn't really matter at this point...he's done. He'll play a few games, get hurt, then shut it down for the season. I'm over Ratliff, I've been ready to move on a long time ago

I think keeping Ratliff for lack of depth is a stupid reason to keep him. no accountability. no message to the team. if Jerry wants to change his public perception he would kick him to the curb. don't agree with this if they keep him.

I would chip in to pay Rat's salary and I feel like others would too.

No, because he shouldn't be cut over a first offense, and he shouldn't be cut because he's still one of our best defensive linemen when healthy.
If the health issues he had this past season become a chronic problem, then he should be cut.

i think jay plays like a possessed man next season and proves a lot of the naysayers wrong. the guy played in at least 15 games a season for his entire career, he has one season w/ a nagging injury and now he's all of a sudden "injury prone", "broken down", "waste of money"?

Much of the same crowd was ready to get rid of Witten after the Seattle game, too, if not before then.

He might as well just stab Everett McIver for good measure.
