Aikman was a leader, he was not the best as far as overall numbers, but he led his team along with Irvin (Emmitt was just behind them to me).

They won games. They motivated. They at times dominated.

What was it that Parcells says about your record ?
If you had asked Aikman to throw it 50 plus times a game, he would've shattered records.

Perhaps to San Fran among one team when that time comes.

I call it like I see it...the team including coaches, and Romo...failed him equally. You have a weapon like that you take advantage of it...even if it is just as a decoy.

And this is certainly not because I am a Redskins fan. That is just your spin...which is towards being simply homer, not open minded or looking at all the variables.
Oh, yeah.

That's how Risen Star is known around there parts -- a super homer.

Dude, quit while you're behind.

That's me. I just can't criticize a Cowboy.

Hey, I thought Dez was slighted but once I read this thread and Percy broke it down for me, clearly he was majorly snubbed. I don't know why anyone would have a problem with that. Despite all the excuses, Dez is the only guy to put up those numbers and get past over by so many with lesser stats.

Do I care? No. It doesn't define him as a player. But was he snubbed like no other at his position in the history of the voting? Apparently so.

haha. I am not against Dez being in. Perhaps you will get that soon.

Along with the others that posted after you.

The main point is...it doesn't matter. Shut the naysayers up.

Monk at retirement was one of if not THE best WR to ever play the game. Same can not be said for other WRs that some of you guys even complain about not getting in. To me Gary Clark should be in the Redskins hall of fame, not the NFL hall of fame.

It's that simple.

The Pro Bowl vote is garbage, the stats are pointless, and it all comes down to who likes who...same as now in some aspects with the HOF.

Scipio, I never said "super homer"...not at all. Perhaps both of you need to step back have a Dr. Pepper...and re-read what I wrote.

Clove, He would have lasted 4 years back then. Today...I agree he probably would have.

Again, that 1300 and 12...not telling the whole story. Stats are not the end all. Same as a QB rating.

Watch the games not the stats.

Going to bed guys. I have a good reason.

This is interesting however. I will get back to it. Thanks.

Have a good night.

Whether you said homer or super homer is irrelevant. Either is still absurd given the person with whom you're debating.

God help us. Players are faking a hang nail to not play in the probowl. Now we have athletes snubbed? Direct your efforts to Hallmark for inventing Valentines Day. I got your back.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss

“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

God help us...............

thanks for the numbers percy. and to skinsandterps, if you think Jerry is gonna let this shiny toy get away you are sadly mistaking. short of some kind os massive implosion on the sidelines or off the field, he is gonna be on this team for quite a while.

You haven't watched the Pro Bowl in the last 20 years you have ZERO credibility judging the Pro Bowl

I wouldn't call it the "biggest Pro Bowl snub of all time," but yes, Dez definitely deserved to be in and wasn't selected.

It is a fan vote. Obviously the fans were more off-put by his past off-field shenanigans more than they are enamored by his on-field accomplishments. Simple as that.

You can read the box score/news, watch highlights, etc. without watching the game. I don't watch the game either but I know it is a joke. Credibility intact.

You said it. There's next to no chance he leaves unless the Cowboys want him to leave.

That's wishful thinking on his part.

I agree that pro bowl voting is a joke. Percy just provided proof of how bad it was in Dez's case. That's all we're saying here.

Would I as a Cowboys fan like to see Dez get that recognition? Of course. But it doesn't define him as a player. Just give me more seasons like this last one.

He deserved the criticism when he got in trouble. He deserves some praise for the way he stepped up this year.
