Report: Jake Long wants “at least” $10 million annually
Citing people who have spoken to the Dolphins’ front office, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports Long is believed to be seeking “ at least $10 million a year” and the Fins are “pessimistic” about their chances of retaining him.

That seems unlikely, but I guess someone may be willing to pay it. Don't blame the Dolphins for not wanting to.

I dont think I would risk it ....back issues...however if healthy that would be a sweet set of tackles

I don't think WG is suggesting he'd end up here.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

He has been living off of his reputation for at least the last two seasons. I doubt anyone in the NFL is dumb enough to give him $10 mil a year.
Al Davis is dead, right?

We might be able to get him for a year to prove that he is still at the value in which he thinks he is.
It's like a franchise tag, but much cheaper, and obviously the player isn't already on your roster.
In many cases it's a two year deal, where the 2nd year is really fairly high. So it's essentially an option contract.
I wouldn't be completely opposed to that.
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.

He's fallen off a bit no doubt. No thanks. Not for that $.
