Is DT really a top need?

Man, that kid is a player. I mean a serious player. He was double-teamed almost non-stop even by the best SEC OLs. He destroyed Bama on a handful of plays. He did get ran over in the 2nd half but was really strong for most of that game.

Which of course means he likely will be gone before we pick but he is the most talented guy I can possibly envision at 18. And that's because bigger guys like Star and Hankins should go real early.

I watched Floyd in the bowl game and he made no plays. He didn't get beaten badly or driven back but it was fairly easy to stalemate him in both run and pass plays for a smaller conf team. I know Florida played flat but Matt Elam stood out that game. Floyd really didn't for me. He flashed on a play or two but no where near enough.

Floyd doesnt flash nearly as often as Richardson..but he doesnt get blown up either..i have very rarely seen Floyd get blown up..sure it has happened..but it is very rare...he does a relatively good job of collapsing the pocket and he is incredibly versatile..he has a pretty darn good motor too..
