I won $2500 on a pool that game. I bought 3 squares for $100 each because I just knew that the Cowboys had arrived. People here in Utah thought I was crazy! Of course, it was a betting board of chance, but, my number hit!
I bought a Aikman authentic jersey for $175 and since my stepson loves the Bills, I bought him a Bills Jim Kelly jersey just because he was so disappointed.
I also have an Aikman blue jersey from the next year that the Cowboys won the SB. They have never been worn.

Joe Rod, you're bringing tears to my eyes. That was the perfect game on a perfect day. Everything was aligned just right. We trailed 10-0 at one point, but the truth was, Buffalo didn't stand a chance that day. The Dallas Cowboys winning Super Bowl XXVII was just meant to be. Destiny sounds corny, but that's just what it was. I miss that feeling of Cowboys invincibility. That team was so loaded...

We never trailed 10-0. It was 7-0, then we tied it at 7-7 on Aikman to Novacek pass. Went ahead 14-7 on on Jimmy Jones TD. Never trailed after that.
My favorite of the 90's Super Bowl, what a great game.
To me the real Super Bowl was beating SF in the NFC championship.
Those twenty year went by fast.

OK. I don't know why I thought they had an early field goal. Anyway, it wouldn't have mattered. The Cowboys were ON. Yeah, those two decades flew by.

They did kick a field goal to make it 14-10.
We score to two quick TD (seconds apart) in the 1st and 2nd quarter. Irvin caught two TD in the 2nd to make a 28-10 at the half.

Me too! Awesome, perfect, textbook form tackle.
And I loved Norton, too. One of my favorite players on that entire team. I still remember an SI article talking about the Cowboys (under Landry, of course) working him out on a LB drop drill where the usual depth was like 12 yards, and when the whistle blew he was at 18. Something like that. But he was a great athlete and a real tough guy.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years I was at that game it was the most nervous I have ever been prior to a Cowboys game. Nothing like seeing the Cowboys win a SB in person.

Ha! Good for him. I can tell you...I have one of those power decals in my car that light up at night...people drive by and I get some looks. I don't care. Buffalo fans can maybe talk about what we've done lately, or haven't done lately, but I can always fall back on the two times we beat them in the SB. Things get quiet quick when you drop that full house on their table.

Here's the video of the entire goal line stand, including some sideline shots of Butch Davis going ballistic. In addition to Norton's play, Vinson Smith made a great play on second down to prevent a td.

I thought I was going to die when Buffalo scored first. Even though the Bills get a lot of grief for going 0-4 in Super Bowls down that stretch, they were a really good team. But we were better!
I loved everything about that game....Garth Brooks rocked the National Anthem, and Michael Jackson put on perhaps the best Super Bowl halftime shows ever (in my opinion). Poor Leon Lett...if he'd held on to that ball and scored, we would hold the record for most points in a Super Bowl. But I can't complain about that.
Here's to Troy & the Boys...what great memories of a great game!

It's a new season, let's go!
