Default Senior Bowl look-back at wide receivers: Louisiana Tech’s Quinton Patton impressive

The Cowboys need to draft a wide receiver or two for depth in 2013, but it’s not likely they go after one in the first round. That said, here’s a possible second-round option:
Louisiana Tech receiver Quinton Patton (6-0, 202) did more for himself during Senior Bowl practices than any other receiver. Defensive backs struggled to cover Patton.
During one practice, Patton beat Alabama safety Robert Lester for long touchdown catches on back-to-back plays. After each catch in the end zone, Patton bounced up and gave Lester – the national champion – a pick-me-up pat on the butt as they made their way back to the line of scrimmage.
Another possible receiver target is Duke’s Conner Vernon (6-0, 193). He seems to fit Jason Garrett’s “right kind of guys” profile and was consistent in his route running and catching the football during Senior Bowl practices.

@DougKyedNESN Based purely on 2012 tape, DeAndre Hopkins is king in this WR class. C. Patterson we look at upside, K. Allen we look at 2011.

This is one guys opinion. I like both Hopkins and the RB Ellington out of Clemson.
