Man, what a horrible thing. You have your loved one's who come to watch you play in the biggest game in American sports and also seeing you reach the pinnacle of your career and the next thing you know they're gone.

Alice and Bryan Young of Pomona, Calif. were stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 10 in St. Charles Parish when a driver hit them as she veered off the highway. Nechole Thomas, 26, of Houston was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated and reckless operation of a vehicle.

The article mentions that they leave behind a son who himself is a standout high school football player. He was offered a trip to go but declined so he could focus on school and track.

I hate it when people say, "drunk driving can happen to anyone" to try to explain a lesser punishment.

Delanie Walker can ball too. He's a solid solid backup tight end. Obviously his football skills aren't the talk though, that's so rough to hear. My condolences go out to him and his family.
