I keep thinking we might finally see an end to these kind of contracts, but it shows how much money the owners have to spend.

As a pitcher, he isn't worth it.

As a pitcher and off the field marketing, I think he could be.

they sign these guys to big contracts only to be able to trade the player to a team like NY or LA willing to absorb all the money. Teams like Boston and Miami sign guys to stupid money only to purge the roster when they dont make the playoffs
