Dallas Draft Grade : WashingtonPost (??)
Jealousy.....I love it.
Dallas
Grade B : First-rounders Demarcus Ware and Marcus Spears and second-rounder Kevin Burnett instantly upgrade the defense, but the Cowboys also needed help at receiver and on the offensive line.
They just couldn't give it an 'A'. It's such a bitter pill to swallow.

C-
Washington
C- This team lost games because of its offense last season, and did nothing to upgrade the unit. The No. 1 wide receiver that it desperately needs fell into its lap when Mike Williams was available for the No. 9 pick, but the Redskins took Carlos Rogers to replace departed CB Fred Smoot. They again passed up wide receiver help at No. 25 to choose Jason Campbell, a quarterback who will be of no immediate help to the club's not-exactly-youthful offensive coaches.

They lost ALL credability with this one though..........
Green Bay
A It's better to be lucky than good, and the Packers got the heir apparent to QB Brett Favre when Aaron Rodgers plummeted to them at No. 24.

OMG! A grade B is just a biased insult.
LMAO!! They actually believe what they print?
Can't wait untill Marcus Spears hits the field, mark it, he will end up being the most dominant player in the entire Draft.

Why? No one thought Rodgers would slip that far.

This is based on their ENTIRE draft. So they get an A as a whole because they took a QB that fell to 20 something? Where would Rodgers have gone last year? Sure wouldnt have been a top 10 pick in 04.
Heres a read from another rag on GB's draft.......

Analysis: Drafting Rodgers might be good in the long run for the Packers, but in the short term, this draft was a disaster for the Packers. Rodgers won't help Green Bay right away. Collins is talented, but coming from one of the weaker leagues in I-AA, is bound to be raw. Murphy, the Pack’s final pick of the first day, won't be taking any reps from Javon Walker and/or Donald Driver. The franchise waited until the fourth round to address huge needs at safety, linebacker, and guard, and paid little attention to upgrading a so-so front four. For a team that made little noise in the free agent game, this past weekend could easily be construed as a failure.
Bottom Line: Apart from Rodgers, who won't see the field any time soon, it is hard to find the logic in most of these picks.

Probably feeling a little pressure not to trash the 'Skins too much while singing the Cowboys' praises. After all, they've got to sell those papers in the nation's capitol.

And remember, Dale, Danny Boy took several tickets away from the Post in the past for reporting negatively on the team (and Danny's lack of GM skills).
Although Danny said it was because the Post was reselling them....

I have a problem when they say "they didn't fill this position" and don't say if there actually was better player at the position they didn't get. If your going to grade a team, grade them on what they got and maybe what they could have gotten.

hmmmm
I thought a draft grade was directly related to the draft picks themselves.....not to the needs of the team.
Using this formula....then teams withoout holes would automatically have good draft grades.
