Not a lot of wear on his tires, filled in well for Johnson when injured, can go the distance, good in pass pro on 3rd downs, still only 26 so he can see out a 3-4 year deal, should be relatively cheap.
Also it allows us to use the draft to fill holes on the DL and OL.
If not then go the UDFA route, rb is the easiest position to plug and play.

I like Ringer and Chris Ivory from New Orleans seems very similar.

We'll find out in the 4th or 5th round.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Garrett isn't a guy that likes to run the ball.
Therefore, unless Garrett is no longer the playcaller, I don't think it will matter. We could have Jim Brown in the backfield and he'd still only get 15 carries a game.
Whatever.

I'd rather it be 6th or UDFA....RB's are a dime a dozen and anything earlier than 5th round and I'll be highly disappointed.

Ed Lacy's obviously the guy I'd like us to draft, but that's not going to work out. Kenjon Barner would be a solid option. I think Christine Michael's built better for the NFL and will last longer. The only thing that comes to mind when you think Marcus Lattimore is his injury, but you've also got to consider how good this guy was prior to that injury. I don't think he would've declared this year if he didn't feel like he could go out and play like Marcus Lattimore. Plus, besides fluky injuries like the one he sustained, a RB who's 6'0 232 is built to last. Whoever drafts him will get the steal of the draft. He's 1st round talent, but he is injury-prone.
Here's to good friends livin' large in Texas. Texas forever!

Glen Coffee. How much could it cost to bring a traveling church with him?

Nope we definitely need to look #1 all the way, then let them compete for the job.

I agree totally. Why get a scat back who can't carry the load if something happened to Murray?

I was thinking something similar. The way those guys in NE play is really great. They are so amazingly well coached.

Taylor in the 4th or Riddick in the 5th would be my choice. Both guys have great hands.
