Default Adidas Offers Contract to Fastest Player at the Combine

http://espn.go.com/nfl/conversations...er-nfl-combine

"Speed at the NFL combine doesn't immediately boost draft position, but at least it will guarantee the fastest player at the event a shoe contract. Adidas has had billboards in Indianapolis, the site of the event, promising a shoe deal to the player that ran the fastest time. On Saturday, the shoe company put an ad on a flap on the cover of the Indianapolis Star promoting the marketing idea."

"Run the fastest 40, and get a contract offer," the ad said.

Some extra incentive for draft prospects to use performance enhancing drugs right before the combine. Well played, Adidas.

My favorites are Marquise Goodwin or Tavon Austin. But every year at the combine there's always that one guy from a small school who's blazing fast in the 40. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a no name. Maybe Jerry falls in love with the winner , ala Al Davis, and drafts him 2 rounds too early.

"Where do I sign?"
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Goodwin just ran a blazing 4.27 40 at the combine. Wow, even faster than I expected. Tavon Austin with an impressive 4.34 himself. Both times official.

If you blinked, you probably missed it.

I'm also surprised that Ryan Swope of Texas ATM ran a 4.34 himself. Had no idea he had that kind of speed.
