Twitter Bill Polian: Cowboys O-line needs biggest upgrade

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota
Former GM Bill Polian gives his top offseason need for each NFL team: http://es.pn/W40Lcz

Bill Polian: Offensive line needs biggest upgrade in Dallas. “Any position except for left tackle would be an upgrade for the Cowboys.”

Polian on Dallas o-line: "Only Tony Romo's ability to move and avoid pressure kept the QB from taking more than the 36 sacks he suffered."
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

I agree. Providing Romo with solid olinemen would make Romo dangerous. The only good player is Smith. The rest can be upgraded.

A real GM with an honest assessment. Hope JJ is listening.

Draft Jonathan Cooper and go from there.

Stephen: Hey Dad, did you hear what that blowhard Bill Polian said?

Jerry: Hang on Stephen, we can laugh about it after I complete the deal for Darelle Revis, can you believe it that the Jets are only asking for our 1 and 2 this year?
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves. Shakespeare

think about it...

if our GM gets fired he will not get another job as GM
if our director of pro-personnel gets fired he will not get another job as that in the NFL
if our HC gets fired he will not get another job as HC in the NFL

ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE IN POSITION ONLY BECAUSE JERRY IS THE OWNER AND GM

and not one of them is qualified to do the job they are doing

There are plenty of ways to skin a cat.

For example a team like SF has invested heavily on offensive linemen in the draft. That was obviously their vision for the team, they decided on it and pursued it actively.

A team like Washington has taken a more economical approach, but they have a system they believe in and after three years they have guys who fit into it - and it's worked.

Obviously either of those options is better than what we've been doing for the past six years. It seems like we have less of a plan and more of a system where we're constantly trying to plug holes in a dam with things like cats and paper towel rolls. It's not that we aren't trying, we just appear to have no idea what we're doing.

If we think Callahan can coach these guys up then go with it. I don't think the Frenchman is a bad player. I think if we could upgrade RT and LG we'd be ok, if we get guys who can plug and play in Callahan's system. But if recent history is any indicator, we have neither the vision nor patience for something like that.
victory is ours

May be stating the obvious but If he was our GM, we'd have a better oline right now.... just sayin.

Imagine the potential of the Cowboy offensive attack if Jerrah fixes the o line. I swear the offensive PPG would increase by 2 td's.
