OR... those teams will stand pat and let those "LB, CB, and LBs" drop to them.

might not happen, say cincy wants a LB and Olgetree is there at 18 but NYG is picking 20th and rumor is NYG will take him. SO cincy wants to trade up to take him.
If a team is in front of you with the same needs, then they will take the same player. Look at dallas trade up for Dez. Jerry traded up infront of Baltimore so he could get Dez. Same thing can happen again. Teams trade all the time in the draft in case you never noticed.

Every year, it seems like scouts overrate the value of guards.

The Best Player Available or the real value of this Draft Class at the 18th Overall Pick is Defensive Line. Especially in a 4/3 Defensive Scheme.

Warmack and Cooper gone before 18. That would be a bummer.

I think we can get good value if we go dline in round one and attack the Oline and safety after that
That is also assuming BPA

I think Alvin Bailey is going to bring the best value among the guards. Really don't see that big a difference between he and Cooper except that one goes in the first and the other the third.

Nice post.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Wasn't Decastro "the best guard prospect in years" and a "tactition who will go top ten" and then fell to 18. I bet one of these two are there. Problem I Jerry likes to draft a guy he can sell jerseys for. Guards don't usually sell many (FYI I don't mean to turn the convo to a bash Jerry thread)
