Just saw Cincy TE Travis Kelce's interviews today: Raiders, Bills, Saints, 49ers, Patriots, Dolphins, Packers, Cowboys, Rams. #NFLDraft

they need to draft OL/DL in the 1st and 2nd round, any combination. Anything else, is a failure.

Stay true to the board and don't draft a position just because it's a "need". There should be some good OL/DL available at each spot, so it's likely that will happen, but that kind of mentality gets you in trouble.

this would totally ruin the draft for me.we have a great prospect in Hannah already but barely play him,no need to draft another TE to be a career backup who will leave after 4 years without anything to show for a 2nd rd pick.

Hannah is more of an H Back. Kelce is a full blown blocking/receiving TE. I have been saying all along I would not be shocked to see a skill guy drafted high, not necessarily this guy.

Weaknesses

Suspended for an entire season for violating team rules. Only one season of production. Doesn't have blazing speed. Not a tremendously explosive athlete. Doesn't come out of his breaks all that well

The NFL Combine will be without another top prospect according to Tom Reed of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, as Cincinnati tight end Travis Kelce will be unable to work out this weekend due to an abdominal tear he sustained prior to the Senior Bowl. He joins Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short, California wide receiver Keenan Allen, and Dee Milliner of Alabama -- all of whom will be unable to work out due to injuries.

Regarded as a second-round prospect, Kelce cemented himself as one of the draft's top tight ends with 722 yards receiving, and eight touchdowns. His 6-6 frame makes him a large target in the passing game, and he shows a high level of ability. As more teams make use of multiple tight end sets, the value for them in early rounds increases greatly. In the 2012 draft the Indianapolis Colts elected to select two of the draft's top propects in Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen, in order to give plenty of options to rookie Andrew Luck. So too a team looking for a QB early could try to give him a reliable safety net.

lol, you know what, I wouldn't even be surprised with a TE in the 2nd. At least Kelce is a good one. Maybe they are just doing their research in case he slips into the 3rd.

Or, you know, coaches and scouts could actually sit down and have a talk with this kid and get a real judge of what type of person and teammate he is. Oh wait....they actually did that.

Seriously, can we drop the "he's off the board" crap with every player who has a slip up in their lives? Its getting old. UC coaches have nothing but good things to say about him despite the suspension and said he grew and learned from it. He was on the practice field everyday during the suspension helping the team by being on the practice squad. You can't just lump every player into 1 category. Each player has to be taken on case by case basis....unless we are talking about an extreme case.


With all that said.....I don't want Kelce or any other TE that early.

What is the point of drafting another TE so high when we know this regime has no clue how to use anyone other than the starter??
