Interesting. Thanks for posting.

There's never enough detail in these lists for me. You can't see from the list that Dallas played it's 4th or 5th choice at Center due to injuries.

Costa
Kowalski
Nagy
Bernadeau
Cook

It's interesting that of the 10 least injured teams, 6 went to the playoffs. Just goes to show the impact of parity and just how much injuries can derail a season.

Lol, they listed Barry Church as our KEY injury? I would say that losing Lee, Carter, or Ratliff had more of an impact.

I think they listed Church since he was injured for the longest period of time. I'm like you though, Lee was the killer for us on Defense........

Well, I guess this just goes along with why the Boys wanted to part ways with Ryan and his overly complicated defensive schemes. Dealing with that many injuries on defense is bad enough but then you throw in all of the replacements that can't pick up the scheme and its a total mess.

can't weigh all injuries equally--injuries had more of an effect on us than any team--not an excuse, just a fact

Well, I think the Skins were impacted pretty heavily as well. Ultimately health plays heavily in a very even division. It will be interesting next year hopefully both teams will stay much healthier.

seriously? look at the chart included, we lost more games played, lost several key defensive players, don't look at it through homer vision. I know you guys lost a lot, especially when Lee went out, but we weren't sitting there healthy either.

Team...... Games 16g IR
30. Cowboys

31. Washington 75 13 4
We played half a year without our top WR, (we had a losing record without him in the lineup), half a year without our top TE. Silly to say, not even close.

We only had 8 players that started all 16 games. 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not just how many players you have injured, but how key those players happen to be. Our entire defense was pretty much gutted. Injuries don't include Josh Brent either. We lost him as well.

according to that chart 15 teams had 8 or fewer 16 game starters. some had as few as 5 (indianapolis) and 4 of those 15 teams went to the playoffs.

It isn't even close. Orakpo was a MAJOR loss. Fred Davis was a loss. But guys like Helu and Merriweather are likely to never play heavy snaps again.

You had tremendous health along the OL and overall after that first couple weeks.

The biggest injury you guys suffered after week 2 was RG3 and that was very late in the season.

Dallas lost Spencer, Ratliff, Brent, Lee, Carter, Church off the defense. We had Ware playing with his arm trapped to his side. You guys didn't even bother blocking him. They just ran right past him. He couldn't lift his arm to grab anyone.

Dallas was mangled along both lines.
While we had ONLY 3rd most missed games it doesnt show that Dez played with a broken finger, Miles had a hamstring strain and couldn't run. Murray and Felix Jones were BOTH injured. And the aforementioned sad Ware state of health.

of teams with 50 or more starts missed and less than 8 starts from a collective 16 only 2 teams made the playoffs. Green Bay and Indy.

of teams with at least 1 playoff win only 1 team had 50 or more starts missed: Green Bay.

the final 4 were ranked 1st, 9th, 10th, 13th in fewest games missed.
