Parcells Lays Down Gauntlet to Zimmer (??)

On the Dale Hansen show today (he was interviewing Aikman - as many of you know), Dale played this clip from Bill Parcells :

In referring to Mike Zimmer and the 3-4 Defense:

He spent all winter, that was one of his jobs, to get familiar with it and don’t tell me about what ya don’t wanna do. Be prepared to do whatever I tell ya, because it’s not gonna be a suggestion.

Dale commented the following after the audio clip:

I’m sorry. I’m sorry. That’s just a jerk to say that!

I was just wondering where that audio came from. Does anyone know if that is from this weekend?

There must be problems (obviously) with Parcells and Zimmer on the philosophy of this defense.

Hmmmm, maybe don't jump to conclusions so fast, likely that was taken out of context. and anyway, who is dale to call Parcells (head coach and therefore zimmers boss) jerk for doing his job and taking command.

I agree with Bill on this one. He is the boss, and he is paid to do things his way, and it's about time for him to put in what he knows work. So if he tells Zimmer to learn it and I was Zimmer, I would shut up and learn..

Parcells is taking over on D, he has also recently said he should have done it from day one!

I agree, but better late then never...

zimmy is the WORST DC this Cowboys team has EVER had & Parcells knows it!

The Cuse coach hire & Todd Bowles are going to be the choices for our new DC...

Its zimmy WUSS'S last year in Dallas!

He should give back every penny of his salary he stole for impersonating a NFL DC!

Listening to it live and seeing Parcells' facial expressions, it just sounded like he meant business. It didn't sound like a direct shot at Zimmer...at least in my opinion.

There is a difference. He didn't come off as a jerk, just someone who wanted things done the way he wants them done.

Yep and for the record i like zim and dont put all the blame on him for last year as well as i cant totally give him credit for the year before. I do respect parcells because bill could have got rid of him already.Obviously he likes zim.
