Default La'Roi Glover

I don't know if all these rumors about trading Glover are true or not but I think it makes sense to shop him around. He has been a very good player for Dallas but undersized DT's don't typically play until their 36, 37-years-old. I think now is a perfect time to trade him because in some defensive fronts, you can even slide Spears inside with his size. Lets say for a minute that the Rogers rumor is true. Can we blame Rogers for breaking his collar bone? I don't think the guy is a baby or anything. It's not like he is sitting out with a questionable injury. I think it's just been freak luck what has happened to him so far. In college and early on in his rookie season, Rogers was sensational. I don't know but if it was me, I think you have to look long and hard at trading an over 30, undersized DT for a young, explosive WR with Roger's ability. I doubt the rumor is even true, I just think shopping Glover at this point in his career makes sense. I'm sure I'm in the minority on that.

It's funny because on the Lions' boards, their fans are saying they would never trade Rogers for Glover and on the Cowboys' boards, people are saying just the opposite. I thought that was interesting.

I'd move the glove for ed reed or a premeir wr.by the way the rumor might have HAD truth to it but with the release of az hakim its most likely dead.

After a year in the 3-4 his value will be very little... now would be a good time. Enough left int the tank to make him very valueable to a 4-3 team.
"They say it makes your testicles shrink,'' Bonds said. "I can tell you my testicles are the same size. They haven't shrunk. They're the same and work just the same as they always have."

I just think a big part of being successful in today's NFL is knowing when to get rid of a player. The Patroits and Eagles are masters of that. In my opinion, it may be time to move Glover before he starts to break down. Also, I don't think Hakim means anything. The Lions traded for Kevin Johnson before the draft. Hakim was on his way out of Detroit anyway.

We finally start getting some depth at a crucial postion, and guys are jumping all over themselves to start trading our starters. As for this supposed trade that may be happening with the Lions, that is a pretty one sided deal. I'm sure the Lions would love to dump a non-starting Charlie Rogers, for Glover a 5 consecutive pro bowl DT. PLEASE!

For those who think that Glover isn't a great fit for the new D............

According to who? Jerry Jones? Bill Parcells? Mike Zimmer? Exactly which Cowboy executive said that? I'd really be interested to know where I could go and hear or read that kind of information.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Ok let me ask you guys something. Since we drafted Barber, would you wanna trade Jones for, say, 7 time pro bowler Tom Nalen from Denver? Makes about as much sense as Detroit giving up their #2 overall pick from 2 years ago for a 31 year old pro bowl DT

No one is suggesting Rogers is a sissy... but the fact remains his collarbone is an issue... he seems to be brittle... and that is no knock on his talent...

I do have a problem with the fact that reportedly he is now fat and out of shape... that is a red flag for me...

True... Glover is getting older... but his production has not diminished...

If Detroit wants this trade... bring more to the table for a a 5-time pro-bowler... otherwise... don't waste our time...
