Do you know how stupid you sound right now? The man won the SB and it took 2 road wins at Denver and New England and you are talking about Romo?

someone who is 0-2 on the road in the playoffs

You make no sense at all

Any Cowboys Fan who would take Romo over Flacco needs to be drug tested

You do realize that Flacco's 2012 postseason was a complete anomaly, right?

http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/po...now-joe-flacco

Two quick factoids for your consideration:
  1. Flacco has 63 wins as a starting qb, most by any qb in history in his first 5 seasons in the league. He has also never finished a regular season ranked higher than 13th in ESPN's proprietary QBR formula ('08-29th; '09-16th; '10-13th; '11-16th; '12-25th). Apparently it is a team game after all...
  2. "Flacco has a 61.4 career Total QBR in regular-season home games and a 45.9 Total QBR in regular season road games.

The 15.5 differential ranks second-highest among quarterbacks with at least 500 pass attempts at home and on the road since 2008, surpassed only by soon-to-be Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith (19.2)"
In short, Flacco is a JAG being paid like he's the best player in the sport. If I didn't know better I would swear Jerry had negotiated this deal for the Ravens.

You need to give when credit is due. The man had a strong run to the trophy and earned the new deal

The End

Flacco got hot (and really lucky) in the 2012 postseason; for most of his career he has been an avg to below avg qb. If you think that should result in him becoming the highesrt paid player in the sport, well...you should probably give JJ and co a call to see if they're hiring.

So if Romo and Flacco wanted to switch teams you wouldn't be happy?

No. For the roster we have, I would take Romo 10 times out of 10 and never think twice. Flacco isn't the kind of qb who can make something out of nothing; Romo can.

One fluky td in one game doesn't negate five years of game tape. Dude is what he is: an avg to below avg qb who has benefited from a great D and solid running game. Paying Flacco like he was Peyton, Brady or Brees is absolutely nuts,

The Ravens didn't have a great defense this season

Not by their lofty standards, but the Balt D was still good enough to finish 12th in points allowed (we finished 24th). Not great, but by no means shabby.

The 2012 Ravens won because they ran the ball well and could therefore finish drives (11th in rushing yds, 6th in rushing tds), did just enough in the passing game to keep opposing defenses honest (15th in passing yards, 18th in passing tds), and because they didn't turn it over much (2nd fewest giveaways in the league). They were, in a nutshell, the polar opposite of our beloved Boys.

QB Tony Romo has played 4 "Win or Go Home" games since 2008 (includes 2 playoff gms) -- in 3 of them, his QBR was less than 20"
