I hope this is right!! If he plays FS, great, if not, then have him be a third corner, and sign Marion to a one or two year deal to be a veteran leader on our very young defense.
"Can we get Drew Bledsoe back out here just for a week, so you guys can fall back in love with Tony? Let's sign Drew Bledsoe back for a week. Because sometimes when you have a pretty girl for so long, you forget how pretty she is. But when you put an ugly girl next to her, 'Oh, no, I'm really doing well.' And maybe we need to bring Drew back, so we can back to 'Oh, no, we're really doing well.'"

On an A&M board they're reporting that CH. 13 in Houston said he is coming to dallas. Glenn will be granted his release tomorrow.

Newman and Henry better bring their "A" games to TC. Glenn is still good enough to start over either player, if Parcells left the jobs open to competition. I know it's not likely, I'm just sayin......

Check out Glenns stats above, 5 picks last years and amazingly durable throughout his career. Would be a good move.

WE don't need this guy; too old, too small. We have to think of the future. And he won't be that cheap.

Man, if this is true, what an amazing acquisition.
Norm and Mickey were asked about Glenn on air. Their response was basically that he's still a starting corner that will demand starting money from another team. I'm sure they'd be quite impressed with this acquisition IF it's true.

Here's a link to the Texans board.
Apparently Bob Allen of Ch. 13 said he's expected to be released tomorrow and has already reached an agreement with the Cowboys.

Here's a link to an article from the Houston Chronicle that confirms his release and goes on to cite "sources" as having him reached an agreement with Dallas:
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory...sfront/3153008
"The Texans gave Glenn permission to seek a deal with another team last week when they acquired cornerback Phillip Buchanon in a trade with the Oakland Raiders.
According to sources, Glenn has reached an agreement with Dallas, and the Texans will facilitate the deal by granting the 11-year veteran his release. Attempts to reach Glenn were unsuccessful.
Texans coach Dom Capers met with Glenn the day the Buchanon trade was completed and gave Glenn the option of staying with the Texans, possibly in a reduced role, or exploring his options with other teams.
Although at least two other teams were believed to be interested in Glenn, Dallas would seem to be a good fit. Glenn played for Cowboys coach Bill Parcells from 1997-1999 when both were with the New York Jets, and Dallas represents a destination not so far from home for the Nimitz High School and Texas A&M product.
Furthermore, Parcells has a history of surrounding himself with players he has coached in the past and has several former players on his Cowboys roster, including quarterback Drew Bledsoe, fullback Richie Anderson and receivers Terry Glenn and Keyshawn Johnson, a close friend of Glenn's."

I believe nickel back is more important than free safety. Its not hard to find "just a guy" who can fill in adequately at playing the deep zone. Its much harder to find a guy who can cover a slot WR one on one.
I'm all over this. As a guy who's played 13 years in this league at a high level as a 5'9" cornerback based on smarts and technique, he'll be a phenominal mentor for TNew.

I agree Inman. Check out the Texans forum at houstontexans.com. A lot of the guys are miffed why they would release so many solid veterans this offseason. The only negative on Glenn anyone has mentioned is his age, and how they want to get younger defensively.

I think this opens up the blitzing options on third down or in nickel/dime situations even more. Having a nickel corner who can hold his own against the slot allows you to play much more aggresively and even go to that "zero" blitz that they employed so much in 2003 without putting the defense at SEVERE risk of giving up the huge play.
I'm all for the move, sign him up!!

Who's future? Which young, dynamic, future all pro CB on our roster are we going to have to release to give Glenn a roster spot? Nate Jones? Jacques Reeves?
Aaron Glenn may only be a Cowboy for 2 years, but that's still 1.5 more years than Nate Jones should ever spend as a Cowboy.
