Yeah, that's right. Never made a play. Didn't make one tackle. No forced fumbles. Never sniffed the QB 1 time in his career. Ball was snapped and the dude just stood up, not moving.

Not much, maybe a mil or so.

However, the best thing is that some of the deadwood has been moved and this opens up his position to competition from younger and more athletic guys.

Spencer started like 90 games and had 10 sacks? That is 1 sack ever 9 games. Stunning in the lack of production.

Good riddance.

Maybe not good riddance but good luck. The guy served the Cowboys well, he deserves a little respect.

I think the money he earned as a 2nd-tier talent on this mediocre team provided him all the respect he needed. Certainly much more than a teacher or police officer or sanitary worker (3 very vital jobs) will make in 10-15 years.
Yes, OK, good luck and good night and good riddance.

Cut spears, keep Free.

Championship!!!!!!

Man this team likes being mediocre.
The toothbrush had to be invented in West Virginia, if it was created anywhere else it would have been called a teethbrush.

Less valuable in this 4-3, which needs linemen who can get up the field not just occupy blockers.

I also think this means we're going to be signing someone soon. Probably one of these low-rent free agents who have been mentioned in association with Dallas, like Blackburn.

Since he was as "designated June 1st cut", there is no change to the salary cap at this time.

Where did you read this? All I have read is that it is speculation that he gets cut.

I hope he does get cut or gets a pay decrease because he is not worth 10 mill +.

Oops, didn't see that. Kind of surprised we cut him now then, since there's no real benefit to it ... unless some bonus was due. Of course, Dallas might have just wanted to let him find a new home since it knew it didn't want him.

Would shocked if Marcus Spears signs more than a 1 year deal at the bare minimum that he can be paid. Very overrated player by some Cowboys fans it appears. He was mediocre on his best days.
