WR Greg Jennings Signs w/ Vikings
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Greg Jennings reached agreement with...the Vikings.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
And so Greg Jennings follows the path of Brett Favre and Ryan Longwell from Green Bay to Minnesota.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Vikings are giving Greg Jennings a five-year deal.
And just like that he goes from fan favorite to sworn enemy.
Packers lose out on Steven Jackson, now lose Jennings. Already lost Charles Woodson on D. Most likely going to lose Jermichael Finley as well. Can't imagine Aaron Rodgers is too happy right now.

NFL Parity at it's finest.
Best league by far. You can truly come out of no where to compete.

Now all they have to do is give NYG their 1st round pick to pair Jennings with Cruz. Could you imagine an offense with AP, Jennings, Cruz and Rudolph?

Would be great on paper, but it all comes down to whether Ponder is a legitimate franchise QB. I actually think he can be, he has to prove it though. I don't think he'll ever be All-Pro, but I think he can be pretty good.
I still think the Vikings might draft a receiver in the 1st round cause Jennings is really their only good receiver now after trading Percy Harvin.

Nice signing for them, but they definitely overpaid for him. 18M guaranteed is a lot of money for a 29 year old WR with a concussion history. He could very well be 1 hit away from being out of the league.
27M guaranteed over the 1st 3 years as long as he's on the roster. Ton of $$$$

Packers did the right thing letting Jennings walk. They still have James Jones (14 TDs last season), Jordy Nelson (15 TDs the season before), and superslot Randall Cobb plus whatever they have in the pipeline.

They definitely did. He's been a really good WR, but age, injuries, and salary demands made that a deal you just had to walk away from. MIN overpaid, too, though he was a player they needed. Overall, it worked out good for MIN, too, since they got to unload Harvin and got the picks and replaced him with an expensive QB-friendly vet. I hope Jennings plays well for them, though.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee
