Dan Marino is if you look at individual passing records but football is a team game and I'd bet that Dan would trade in all of those records for one Superbowl ring.

QB skills alone, no, Montana isn't. But the guy was a winner for the most part. Overall I'd say Elway was the best. Even Troy had some qualities better than Montana.

Too many factors to go by, you can argue stats and say Marino, you can argue championships and say Montana or Bradshaw, you can be a true Cowboys fan and say Staubach.

One could argue that it took TD for him to win, until Terrell he always got killed in the Super Bowl.

Not exactly. But welcome to the board!
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

How many QBs have won a superbowl that didn't have another great player to aid them?
And John Elway didn't have jack to help him at least get to those 3 superbowls. If there's ever been a guy that can almost win a game on his own, it was John Elway.
