the 1991 home game against the hated redskins:
emmitt ran wild, that 75 yarder he took to the house after he broke those tackles with that spin move was awesome. you could just get the feeling we were on our way back after that game.

i think it was played in 91, but could have been 92.

The Redskin game where Emmitt broke that 75 yard run was Week 2 of the 1991 season. Dallas did strut their stuff pretty well that game, but Emmitt came up with muscle cramps and did not return for the second half. Dallas lost 33-31.

Emmitt had four TDs, Irvin caught a TD pass from Aikman in the first quarter. I believe it was shortly after Kevin Smith tore his achielles.

Awesome game.
Did you know that was the same game when Howard Cosell called Alvin Garrett "a little monkey."?

Hard to believe it has been 22 years since Howard was behind mike of a Monday Night game.

Sweet.
Sorry Jeff, you missed the boat here several ways.

1. The game was played on a special Sunday Night edition of Monday Night Football.

2. It was late October of 1984.

3. Dallas never came back from a 28 point deficit. In this game against the Saints, Dallas trailed 24-3 in the 3rd quarter. The tying TD was when Randy White bombed Stabler and the ball came loose. Harvey Martin recovered the ball in the end zone.

The only other time Dallas came back from a 21 point deficit was Opening Day of 1999 in Washington.

I believe both games were against the Vikings
You're right.

They were both against the Vikes.

They were both in Minnesota.

Emmitt Smith broke his hand on his 62 yard TD run.

Dallas lost both games.

Do you know what irritaes me on that Week 16 game in Atlanta? The Falcons scored TDs on their opening and final drives. Otherwise it would have been a perfect game.

Also, in Week 16 of the 1994 Monday Night game in New Orleans, JDSmith was right. It wasn't a DB, it was none other than the speedy linebacker Darien Conner. He picked off a terrible pass from Aikman and was racing down the sideline. What I remember the Most is Michaels and Dierdorf yelling "LARRY ALLEN!!!!!?????"
