Default Biggest question marks for 2005 season.

I propose these concerns as the biggets question marks of 2005 (in order of importance):

1) Marco Rivera's health - If Rivera is healthy, the offensive line will be much improved. If he is not healthy, this line will become very average very quickly.

2) Grumpy (and healthy) Old Men - Can Bledsoe, Keyshawn, and Terri Glenn stay healthy? If one of these is not healthy, it will hurt the passing game. If two or three of them are not healthy, Julius Jones is going to get used and abused this season - and points are going to be hard to come by.

3) Free safety - Who will play free safety? If the Cowboys manage to sign a good veteran free safety - he doesn't even have to be great - then the defensive secondary has a chance to be special.

Honorable mention - Can Brady J. play? Is Andre' all that? Will Terrance and Roy take it up a notch?

I think your 1st and 2nd points scare me the most.

I really don't want to test Q. Morgan as the number 1 or 2 WR this season. That said, I liked what I saw of Crayton the last few games of the season. I thought he looked esp. good versus the Giants in the 2nd half of the finale. Let's just hope our WRs can stay healthy this season and give Copper and Crayton time to mature. We need to last to next season at WR and draft a future star.

As for Rivera, I haven't heard anything more concerning his injury. So I'm assuming no news is good news for now. But I truly expect Peterman to really pick up has game as well. It would be great for Peterman to learn from Rivera this season. Plus, a healthy Rivera should help out Tucker/Vollers/Petitti as well.

Much bigger question marks are:

All the youth on defense.

Can the defense gel fast enough to put us in contention for the playoffs?

What youth is everyone so worried about on defense? The youth on defense will bring energy, as well as serious depth. We have plenty of good veterans on our defense - Glover, Ellis, Ferguson, Nguyen, Roy. The concern needs to be on offense!

As well as missed assignments and mistakes. Our vets have a learning curve as well if we change schemes.

thank you for saying that, i was gonna repeat exactly wat you just said and then i read your post.

i think that our D is gonna be great because we picked a SMART group of players in the draft, yet they are still very talented players.

i also dont get the aikman thing . . .

but the D is not much of a concern to me except for that FS.
i feel that bradie james is really going to step it up this year and so will some of the other guys that are gonna be stuck into the formation.

my biggest offensive concern is prolly the fullback position because barnes isnt anything special and can any1 step it up and take his job?
everything thinks that is is the WRs but i think we have a solid group there for this season and maybe even the next, an addition would be nice but a FB and younger QB would be nice to address first.
the QB position has been addressed and i put it after the fullback position for atleast 1 or 2 years.
