He is a RT...
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"
"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

Well, the Cowboys do have room to sign one or two more free agents. Think Jerry and Bill will contact Shelton's agent?

This has been speculated for a while, especially since the Cardinals signed Oliver Ross. Denny Green has really put the nuke bomb to that OL.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Thought he was a LT?
Thought that's why there was a trade scenario between the Bills and AZ. Bills needed to upgrade the LT spot.

You're correct.
"Shelton, a first-round pick of the Cardinals in 1999, had been the steadiest offensive line starter as a left tackle since 2000."

From ESPN:
Shelton is a good athlete for his size, he has tremendous upper body strength, he shows a good initial punch, he extends his arms, and when he is locked onto a defender, he can be very effective. At left tackle, he does not have what you are looking for athletically but he can be effective if he can get his hands on the defender, lock on with his long arms, and simply ride the speed rusher past the pocket. However, if you put him on an island and ask him to be an athlete and to handle double moves or great first-step quickness, he is going to be in big trouble as he is simply not very good in space. Because of his size, Shelton can dominate at the point of attack. Will push the pile in the running game, comes off the ball hard and can simply overpower DL to get the job done. He needs to continue to improve his footwork, but he has a good work ethic and will certainly give you good effort. Shelton has been somewhat of a disappointment thus far but he is still young enough to salvage a nice career if he's eventually moved inside to guard.

I think I'd prefer we pass.
As worried as I am about RT, Shelton has been an under achiever since being drafted. I've hard the misfortune to see him play a lot. He is too inconsistent.
His price tag will not be small. If we're going to look for a RT, I prefer we look for someone with more heart.

from a money standpoint I'm still for signing Chris Terry, who is a natural RT.....
but if we wwere to sign Shelton and then mopve whoever was a better fit at RT over (between Flo and him) I think we would be looking pretty darn good on the OL.
"They say it makes your testicles shrink,'' Bonds said. "I can tell you my testicles are the same size. They haven't shrunk. They're the same and work just the same as they always have."
