As do I.
I hope I am completely wrong about him and his prospects with us.

Oh I understand that it is not all up to him. I was just pointing out that is the first time I had heard him say he is planning on being here longer than two years. I can't remember what his contract is, but most of us would agree it was basically a one or two year deal.
At some point we have to see what Henson has, even if Bledsoe does play "lights out" (I hope he does as well). I would say the Cowboys would have to make the decision in the second year, by the third year I am not sure Henson will even want to be here.

Recap
WVCowboy gave my speech. Bledsoe keeps stating that Losman did not win the job in training camp but it was just given to him. That is a response to a direct question about how he felt about losing his job with the Bills.
If you ask me a dozen times how much 2 + 2 is; I will give you the same answer a dozen times. I think it is 4. Or is it 3? 5? Anyway, he was pretty objective about Brady. I can understand where he is coming from. Let the man win the job on the playing field.

No, ... that's like saying he is the best we have had here since Aikman.

He doesn't have to.
It was handed to him the day he signed his contract.

We could have said the same thing last year, when in fact, Vinny was the best QB we have had since Aikman.
So he's the best of an awful bunch of QBs, Bledsoe is still a mediocre NFL QB at this point in his career.

So was Rivera, Henry, & Ferguson.
Parcells knows what each guy can do, and he knows which one he wants to start, and which one he wants to compete to start.
Are you saying that even if Henson becomes the better QB, that Parcells would play Bledsoe ?
Why would he do that ?

Maybe Bledsoe was scheduled to make a bazillion dollars this year in Buffalo and now he'll only make 1/2 bazillion dollars.
Maybe that's how some classify whiny?

Sounds like you have already decided then, stick with that.
Don't say you are waiting until preseason.

Exactly.
Yeah, he has a lot to whine about, practicing 4 days a week and then going back to beautiful central Oregon for 3 days to diddle his wife and play golf. Geez. Wish I had that much to whine about.

Well, Alexander, you've got it in spades with your head coach.
Insecure and paranoid about losing is the very sense of Parcells....a man who gets his motivation/energy not from positive emotions but negatives one, chiefly fear of losing, and then coaches by instilling fear. Paranoia sometimes can sometimes work to one's advantage.
If Drew is going to play with a chip on his shoulder this year, and develop a little "I'll show 'em" tude, GOOD!
This is one thing that imho has been LACKING in Drew Bledsoe - a need to prove something, a sense of redemption, and the kind of in-your-face, you-done-me-wrong cockiness that often leads to positive change and a renewed sense of leadership.
I don't like whining, but in this case, it sounds more like "I will show them" than "what did you all do to poor little me?"

JP Losman has a reputation of being a bozo who rubs a lot of people the wrong way. Bledsoe may just not respect him very much. He was certainly complimentary of Brady and his work ethic in the interview.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.
