ESPn Hotlist (Cowboys Hall Bias)

Was at lunch a few minutes ago and on ESPN there was a hotlist segment on HOF Cowboys bias, this was separate from the Bayless segment a few days ago, I could not hear what they were saying did anyone catch this and give a recap?

I didn't hear today's recap, I just heard Dan Patricks and how he claimed if there is a bias it's against the Broncos since they only had one player from the 70s in the HOF.

The 1970s Broncos were a dynasty?

There are no Broncos from the 1970s in the Hall anyways and rightfully so.

Randy Gradishar would be the only one I would think even remotely deserves it.

Denver went 75-64-5 during the 70's. That is a 54% winning percentage. They had 6 winning seasons in that span with two of those being just 7 win seasons(14 game schedule) due to their ties. They made the playoffs only in 1977, 1978 and 1979 going 2-1(lost to Dallas in SB12), 0-1 and 0-1,respectively. I know Denver had some good players in those days, but their team record in that era doesn't represent HOF caliber in my opinion.

I agree, when I heard Patrick make his argument I was once again reminded what an idiot he truly is

Patrick might as well have just said "ESPN's Tom Jackson," who doesn't deserve it. But if you're going to induct one player from the Orange Crush, Gradishar definitely deserves it. You could probably count on one hand the number of 7-time Pro Bowlers who've been out of the game for more than 20 years and aren't in the Hall.

Patrick sounds like he made a fool of himself or else he picked a stupid example to compare with Dallas. That 1970's Bronco team had one Superbowl appearance and they lost by 17 points. The Cowboys went to 5 Superbowls, won 2, and lost the other three by 3, 4, and 4 points.

In 1986, ten seasons later, the Broncos had their next appearance and they lost by 19 points. They went back the next year and were blasted by 32. They returned two years later and got whipped by 45. HOF members from that team: John Elway, Dan Reeves. Deserving members: Elway, Reeves. That's three fewer members than what the Cowboys, with 8 appearances and 5 victories, have.

What's the issue?

I completely agree with Gradishar. He was one of the best MLBs I watched play. I thought he was better then Singletary but hey, what do I know.

Riley Odams was pretty good as well. You've got Alzado and I'm sure how you try and figure that one out.

I'll tell you a guy that I think should be in the Hall of Fame from the Denver Broncos but is not. That's "Tombstone" Jackson. I think he only played for 7 years or so but he was one hellofa pass rusher.
