2. Cliff Harris. They did not call him "Captain Crash" for no reason. Harris was a devestating hitter. He was among the guys voted hardest hitter every year he played.

3. Steve Atwater. He was surprising. It was almost like you'd forget about him until he leveled someone.

4. Jack Tatum. They called him "Assassin" long before the hit on Darryl Stingly. He is often villified because of his cavalier attitude after that paralyzing hit.
Yes sir. Ask Christian Okoeye. Flattened him twice in the same game and he was a big boy back then. Interesting......I think Christian retired after that year.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss

“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

God help us...............

All of them would have been fined multiple time per yr in the current NFL. Doesn't mean they weren't great. The rules have changes alot to protect the offensive players.

Drives me crazy too. One of the things that made me love football was the "violence" of it. I'm not trying to sound morbid when I say that. I am just as awed by a guy getting up from a vicious hit as I am by the hit.
