Wholeheartedly agreed here. That may be my number once concern. If we lose Ferguson, we will have to reevaluate quite a bit....

Bottom line, we NEED Glenn to stay healthy to keep the threat of the deep ball. Morgan has the speed, but he has to show us much more than he did last year. I think Glenn's number will be limited to some extent though with the use of 2 TE's sets (Campbell coming back).

We have the offensive weapons to come close. We just might challenge the Colts for #1 offense except that we have a real shot at the SB because we have a defense.

Personally I think Glover can spell him for a few games... but a season ending injury would be devastating...

If we play a lot of 3-4, I don't think Glover can hold the nose well enough to last even a few games. If we play a few more 4-3 fronts, I think we can handle it.

We are improved, but I don't think we have that kind of explosiveness yet. Manning is still the best passer in the league, and they have a VERY good WR corps, including a good RB.

We may be top ten, but to say we will be number one is a big leap for me.

This Edge holdout is gonna be key to the Colts success... they need to get him in and happy...

In regards to your earlier post... I didn't mean staying with the 3-4 and having Glover spell him full time in that scheme... I wasn't clear on that...

I meant that we would probably play a situational 3-4 and more rely on the 4-3... and thus Glover could spell Fergie a few games...

It is really too bad that Glover is smallish (like 290 is small)... he has the motor, drive and attitude of a 3-4 NT...

These are my projections. I think Glenn has the potential to do better, but his durability man...I wouldnt put money on him making a 16 game season.

KJ - 62/865/5
Glenn- 49/785/5
Witten -73/805/6

Last year Glenn averaged 16.7 per catch. I think he can better that this year because we'll have a more rounded offense and we'll be allowed to utilize him to his strengths more. With his speed and, IMO more importantly, quickness out of the break he's going to be an extremely difficult matchup. With some pass protection I can see him easily eclipsing his average from last year.

I think his reception numbers won't be great, simply because we won't have to look to him over and over. If he's not catching shorter, underneath stuff, then his catches should go down while his average goes up. We've got Key, Witten and Campbell all able to play the middle inside game - big bodies who can catch in traffic without fear of injury.

So I could see Glenn easily breaking 1000 yards this season, if he can stay healthy for the majority of it, but without the 90 catch season being necessary. 1000 yards at 17 yards a pop is only 58 catches. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Glenn average 17 or better this year.

I think 60 for 1100 would benefit our team more than 90 for 1300, as it would mean we're playing to Glenn's strengths and consequently the strengths of the rest of our guys as well.

If we have a 90 catch season from Glenn then something is wrong with our running game. Its clear that Parcels wants to run the ball with the trio we have at HB. I expect Key, Glenn, Witten and yes Morgan to all have between 40 - 60 catches. With a high ypc ratio. The running game will open up the mid range passes and because opposing safeties will often enough be sucked in to run coverage I see a lot of YAC yards.

He could put those numbers up, but I doubt he will.

His injuries, seeminly every year of his NFL career, will probably keep him on the sidelines for a few games.

The idea that I think Parcells will want a more ball controlled offense with his stable of running backs should keep the passing game down some compared to last year where we had no running game until late in the season.

So I do not see it happening.

I think the talent is there for it to happen, just thing the circumstances (Glenns normal injuries and a ground game) will prevent it.

I don't see Glenn approaching 1300 yards even if he is healthy all season. His career best was 1147 yards and that was in 1999.

He can have a very good season and get between 900 and 1000 yards. Those kinds of numbers will probably help the offense be well balanced. Unless Morgan, Crayton or Copper step up, Glenn is the only big play receiver on the team. Witten is a big play tight end, but an offense needs someone on the outside to keep the defense on its heels.

If everyeone stays healthy, I see the ball being distributed amongst a bunch of players and primarily with the running backs. I even see Julius being used more in the passing game. Julius Jones and Jason Witten are the top threats on the team. If anyone is going to approach high numbers, it will be one of them. Glenn's presence is needed and with him on the outside will taht definitely play a part in those two guys achieving high numbers.

Glenn today says he's been working with Bledsoe in offseason. I truly see them rekindling the 90 catch season they had, under Coach Parcells.

By the start of November Glenn will already be missing full games due to injury. Good luck getting all those yards and catches in 10 games tops.

The guy that is going to blow up big time this year due to Bledsoe's arrival is Witten, not Glenn.

Emergance of Morgan and Crayton will limit Glenn's playing time even more. 40 Catches tops for TG this year- probably being generous.

90 Catches 1300 Yards? It's now official, Miss Universe is without a doubt the most overrated player on this team. He can do no wrong. Does very little positive, but does no wrong.

There were excuses after Parcells left him in NE.
There were excuses as to why Farve and him couldn't hook up.
There have been excuses both years he's been here.
What will be the excuse this year?

Terry Glenn is that proverbial 'basket' we do NOT want to put all of our eggs in.
