That franchise is a joke.

DId they sign Corey Hall and then released him? Or are you saying that they signed him and they should release him?

Cory had a change of heart about continuing his NFL career, and asked to be released.

The team complied.

They paid him nothing for his brief stay---there was no bonus.

Anyone who'd lamely try to spin that scenario that into a franchise being a "joke" ought to check the man in the mirror.

I agree they are a joke! Where did you hear this news? Please provide a link if you have one.

If this is true I wonder if they released hall to make room for R.W. McQuarters? R-dub wasn't on the market when they first signed Hall. Perhaps once R-dub was there they wanted him instead?

Check what mirror?

We passed on him and did not sign him.

You did.

There is a difference between never proposing and being jilted at the altar.

We weren't marrying the guy, we were bringing him in to compete for a backup job.

You don't propose to the girl you're interviewing for 2nd string mistress. You get what you can, and move on.

I agree with you Om. But we have to bust your chops in good fun because you're a Skins fan.

Redskins are better off without Hall, IMO. That cat is done with football and his skills were only marginal to begin with.

Addition by subtraction for them.

So it is not embarassing that you announced that you signed him one day then release him the next after apparently not being able to gauge just how much he was contemplating retirement or a foray into coaching?

All that is missing is Hall turning up in Albuquerque claiming he was kidnapped.

According to my sources, Gibbs decided to take time off from his pursuing his masters in Clairvoyance when he signed on to Coach again last year. The uncommited bastige.
