ok i heard parts and pieces, my nephew was over, and he was jabbing in my ear, but here goes what i heard, first i heard talk about barber running back, parcells compared him to leon johnson rb, player he had with giants i think, anyway, parcells is thinking 20 plays or so special teams, kickoff returns, and punts maybe, something barber was good at college, and some running plays.
he talked about some running back knows what he wants now, if get 5 you get 5, stick it in there play called and try to get 10 but stick with play, but couldnt get who he was talking about.
then he talked about jason ferguson, he knows what player he is, some lots of tape on him, but again, he knows him but at same time, players like terry glenn, keyshawn, he isnt going to worry about, they know what he wants, abut guys like ferguson, aaron glenn, he has to tell them again what he wants and expects, then he can go on.
some reporter asked him about 4-3, in reference to 3-4 parcells is trying to run, he replied that the offense is running what they want to run and defense is running what they want to run, then he told reporter in regards to 4-3, if he the reporter was going to be there that afternoon to watch and see what he sees, then go from there.
thats all i got, sorry guys, my nephew the stinker was hollering in my ear to play and coudlnt hear, cowboyjoe

There wasn't a whole lot of in-depth talk. The RB he was talking about in your post was Julius. Said Julius is doing things he wasn't doing last year. Knowing when to give up on a play and when to go for 10 when you have 6.

Said Anthony Thomas will have to play ST and he knows that's something he wasn't asked to do before Basically said if he wants to makes the team, then he's going to have to play ST.

I didn't do a recap, cuz I was busy working on something. Sorry guys.

almost forgot guys, a reporter i think it was mickey, asked about free safety, he said he likes keith davis, what he can do, but he has mixed emotions on safety, some safety they have in camp is always around the ball, i think it was the safety linebaker wr they signed off arena team, anyway he compared him to lester hayes i was thinking saying this safety they have now is always around the ball, and you need those kind of players in camp and on your team, which is true, i am sure you guys remember cliff harris , always around ball, cowboyjoe

It's a small gripe...and I'm sure Parcells doesn't give a rat's butt about it...but I sure wish he'd stop comparing his current players to players he had on other teams...especially one of our NFC rivals...

Just one time, I'd love to hear, "so and so reminds me of Jay Novacek..." or ANY Cowboy reference.

I don't need to continually be reminded that Parcells was once the enemy.

I can deal with the occasional reference...but lordee...it's non stop.

OK, I got that outta my system...now I can go back to burning things to a crisp on the barbeque.

UPDATE: after I posted this, I read this.. i am sure you guys remember cliff harris

Cool, now I can destroy the cooking with a smile on my face.
RIP Santiago

Maybe you should send that gripe to JJT. He gave us a shoutout, remember?

You should prolly pay a lil more attn to your BBQ, Juke. I smell it all the way down here...

But it would still be edible down here. We'd just call it "Blackened" and go for it...

Had to laugh at what he found to compare between Drew Bledsoe and Joe Montana.

They both pat the ball.

I'll bet ya Jerry cringes when he does it....

My family is coming in 7 seconds...they dont call it blackened up here...they call it, "What the F&%%$% is this burned F$##%&ing S^&&%% supposed to be?"

I usually get in REAL trouble when I "blacken" the marshmallows!

I won't eat a steak that isn't blackened. Just toss some cajun spices on it and let it burn on one side. Yummmm!
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.
