I don't see any way that Larry could move to RT. If he improved his conditioning dramatically, I think that only puts him in a position to actually play Guard correctly. For the last few years, Allen has really relied on getting that punch in and locking up on his man. When he has to go after guys in space or use good lateral movement, I think he really struggled.

I think Terry would probably be the best option but who knows if he'd be around. To be honest, I wouldn't mind trading for a good tackle. Just don't know if it would ever happen.

Let's not overstate the supposed agility needed in a RT. Ray Brown played RT for the Redskins last year at 42 years old in his 20th season in the NFL. And if you look at Parcells history of offensive tackles, he's always prefered power and strength over foot agility. How does he match up against Jevon Kearse? I guess about as well as Kurt Vollers or Torrin Tucker match up against Jevon Kearse. Either way you're going to need a TE to help out, and having Dan Campbell back and running a 2 TE set as the base defense negates problems on the perimeter.

It really just boils down to Parcells may want to get his 5 best lineman on the field. And if you watched LA closely over the course of a season, he played very, very well last year despite his persona non-grata status among some fans. If Peterman > Kurt Vollers in training camp, move LA over. If nothing else, it helps balance out the offensive line so that teams don't automatically know we're running behind Larry and Flozell every time we get into a short yardage situation.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

There's a lot of competition on the OL which is good. We only have one position to worry over unless there is an injury. And we have some decent guys to plug in if that happens. The overall talent is way up on the club.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

Did someone already say Ryan Young? Darn it, that was my guess... I've been on vacation and saw the start of this thread but didn't log in from my hotel.

But all last year, Young did some radio work for ESPN in Dallas, and he often mentioned trying to come back. His knee wasn't horribly destroyed in 2003, it was just bad enough that it never got a chance to fully heal during the season. With a full year to rehab, I'm sure he could still play.

LA to RT with Peterman playing LG could well be a better option... But I wouldn't be surprised if Young was the guy Parcells had in mind.
