Default Burger King tabs Dallas as...

a wildcard team...picks Carolina-Minnesota for NFC Championship

div winners--Minny, Philly, Carolina, Arizona
wild cards Dallas and Green Bay

not much else of interest in there:

Well, considering the state of the NFC, picking us as a Wildcard isn't that much of a reach.

Edit: I personally I think our record will be 9-7. Our defense, which has a lot of talent, is also very young and inexperienced. I just don't see our team starting off very well.

I agree with your edit. I too think we will start off really slow on Defense but we still we show our potential. (RB's getting stopping behind the line of scrimmage Drew Brees getting his head torn off on their first passing attempt and that we will show glimpses of the next Doomsday?)

interesting, Carolina wins the div, and Atlanta doesn't even make the playoffs. I guess they expect Vick to go down again.

no, maybe they just see whats obvious...its a team with limited talent and a QB that is a liability as a passer...they beat up on a down and injured division last yr...odds are it wont happen again

Their defense played crazy good last year, Vick is overrated.

Nothing personal....but I'm waiting for Playboy.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I live in Atlanta, and love to see them to bad and Dallas do well, which is what im EXPECTING for this year.

Anyways, Vick has better WR's now than he has ever had, so this would be the year for him to produce if ever. I hope he doesn't but I still think Atlanta is the best team in that division. Carolina and Atlanta will duke it out, and NO and TB will be left somewhere behind.

i agree with what they predict, the panthers vs. the vikings in the NFC championship is surely possible because:
1. falcons have a harder schedule and might actually have to play a team with talent.
2. injuries killed them as usual, this year might be different.
3. a. the eagles without TO are not going to produce as much on offense
3. b. mcnabb relied so much on TO that i wonder if he is still "as good" as he was at scrambling and if the others can even perform.
4. a.what other NFC teams can stop them?
4. b. falcons are over-rated, they had an easy schedule.
4. c. the eagles lost TO
4. d. even if the falcons try anything that D is to fast for vick to "change" the outcome

and btw vick is not over-rated, he has no recievers. do you remember, before TO went to philly mcnabb scrambled A LOT, he got a good reciever and stayed in the pocket more. just think of when vick gets a good reciever on that offense (crumpler is a TE) he will be able to rip apart defenses because he will have so many options. he has a really quick release, can bomb the ball, throw on the run very well, his accuracy is under-rated (if he was a pocket passer he'd have a higher comp. %) you just work a lil bit on his accuracy/footwork and get him a reciever and he will rip it up.

No, I clearly remember that Atlanta has Crumpler, they traded for Peerless Price, Finneran is adequate, and Dunn is a very good receiver out of the backfield. This year Vick has no more excuses. Vick is not a good passing QB. He's not patient in the pocket, and as big of an arm he has, it doesn't matter, because he doesn't stay in the pocket. Vick is pure excitement, but I'm not sure he's going to lead a team anywhere.

McNabb scrambled alot early in his career. TO made McNabb better, but the man was still putting up Pro Bowl seasons without him. McNabb is at the point where his legs are not his first option, only a backup option. I'm not sure Vick will ever think pass first, run second. He seems uneasy in the pocket, and is quick to bolt. I think he will always be a good regular season QB, but come playoff time, when he isn't playing the Saints on turf, things will probably change.

Accuracy is underrated? I'm not so sure Vicks accuracy is underrated at all, it is what it is, 56%, nothing too impressive. Vinny T put up 60% of his passes. IMO, that's the knock on Vick, he isn't a pocket QB, and you said it. He's like Randall Cunningham, a good QB, but I have my doubts it will amount to anything major.

Vick does not have good accuracy. I remember 2 years ago when Vick was getting back off his injury and played the Colts. And they just banged him up like crazy, I mean he was hit every play it seemed and he went something like 7-25. lol, and that was the Colts, who had Dwight Freeney........... And... yea. That was it. Anyways, Vick has refused to attempt to sit in the pocket since then. He doesn't seem to understand, his speed and agility would make him great at moving around in the pocket, and dipping out when he needs to. Somewat like McNabb did on us the first game, move around in the pocket, and leave it when you need to.

Who cares if you can throw the ball 60+yards on the run if you can't complete easy passes consistantly, miss the deep passes and you struggle to throw in the pocket.
