Default Small Julius blurb...

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Julius Jones has added muscle mass in the offseason. "Last year I was kind of shriveled up after I broke my shoulder. I got back in the weight room and put on some bulk. I guess it's showing, huh?"

"Shriveled up"? I thought he looked pretty ripped last year. He must be a monster now...wish I had a pic.

That is somewhat old- came out last week. Would be interesting to compare a picture of him this year with last year's training camp photos. More upper body strength will help him take hits and deal them out- also help him in trying for that extra yard, and in blocking.

It seems like I've been reading about a lot of players either bulking up, (JJ, Quincy Morgan, Lousaka Polite, Stephen Peterman, etc.), or trimming down, (Larry Allen, Marcus Spears, etc.). I think we got a real winner in Joe Juraszek, the strength & conditioning coach. I don't know much about him, but I have rarely seen as many players come back one year later with so much added bulk & strength.

Not only will this help us in the obvious area of one-on-one competition in games, but I think we will see a diminishing IR list, which is just as critical. The last couple of years, especially last year, we have been inundated with injuries to key players. I am really stoked that we have a guy who has sold the players on continuing to get bigger, stronger, and quicker. It will really begin to show up in the last few minutes of games, and as the season wears on.

Maybe but Ive always been kind of leery of the guy. Im sure some of it has to do with astroturf but every single year that hes been here multiple receivers have gone down with season ending injuries.

Default only pics i could find in a pinch

Julius in Seattle...

Julius in the recent minicamp

Personally, I can't really tell any difference by these pics. However, when I was watching him and Witten in the Battle of the Gridiron thing on ESPN. He looked swollen in that b-ball jersey he was wearing.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

I really hope that after Peterman went down last season that he went to Juraszek and Al Johnson and asked "What did Al do last year? Let me do the same thing"

Don't kill me for this. I commented on the bulk of his arms when those pics were posted last week. However, looking at them today. It looks like he needs to work on his legs as well. He looks to be all upper body and no legs (chicken legs). Am I wrong?

Exactly, as Juraszek's been around in Dallas for some time without these results.
