I guess I am a newbie on this board- but I have been a Cowboy fan since 1971. And I still think that the 71 team had more overall talent then any team since.
I was a regular on the ESPN board untill it got too stupid to stand anymore. Then I tried the DallasCowboysCentral board but it was run by some moronic little Napoleon types and I got tired of their crap. Now I post on a couple of boards plus this one.
Its better to be on several boards instead of just one since you get more points of view that way. There is not a whole lot of cross polinisation (sp?) between most of the boards.

You're holding your own here. This forum has some good posters who can more and hold their own. The more you joke around with some of the folks here the more you'll fit in quickly. It's a friendly forum.

Just an observation, and maybe it's just me, but...
I lived in Lawrence, Kansas for 8 years. During those years the Chiefs were a regular playoff quality team and had great support and partying fans that few other teams could match. I went to ONE KC game in 8 years in 1989 to see them play Dallas.
I have lived in Phoenix for 9 years, the only Cardinal games I've gone to have been Cowboys games except ONE, my brother came to visit and his team, the Vikings, were playing AZ.
So for 17 seasons I have lived less than an hours drive from a possible 136 pro football games and I have seen a grand total of ONE game not Cowboy involved.
I can't imagine spending thousands of dollars going to around 40 games to watch a team I hate.
Like I said maybe it's just me.

Who said he hates the Pats?
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

That would put him at 12 last year, 9 the year before, 5 the year before that. And last year will be an anomally because of the change in the rules that had a lot of CB's playing very tentatively. So yes he is at his best top 10. And I think that given the right tools and situation, he can still be top 5. The history of the NFL has many examples of QB's that people have given up on having great seasons for new teams ( as Bledsoe did his first year at BUffalo). No reason why he cannot do it again. [View Full Quote]He can certainly be the best QB we have had since Aikman. And lets face it- his last year or two Troy was going downhill.

Very nice facts. If you notice, it's the same people that are bashing Drew who want Henson to start ...

Getting bent out of shape over people having differeing opinions always strikes me as rather amusing.

He wasn't bent out of shape. He just doesn't agree with you. Seems you're getting bent out of shape.

No---never.
Ranking him even in the top ten is an insult to those that do merit the additional six spots---Michael Vick, Dante Culpepper, Trent Green, Chad Pennington, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees.
To compound it further, I would take an additional five QBs before Bledsoe. Delhomme, Bulger, McNair, Leftwhich, and Carson Palmer are all better.
If they are playing at "their best", there are AT LEAST 10-15 QBs significantly better than Drew Bledsoe.
|
Bledsoe can hang with any of the above. Manning, Brady and McNabb are ahead of him ... but the rest - with the exception of McNair - are not exactly better than Bledsoe.

I'm disappointed in you Nors. When I saw this topic yesterday morning, I thought for sure it would have 100 replies by now. You're losing your touch!

Pay attention Ben. I hadn't responded in the thread until I made that observation. Therefore how was he disagreeing with me? You assume too much.
I often post a similar message when I see people getting upset over pessimism and lack of optimism. Pesimists are just as welcome to their opinions as optimists, realists, theorists, or nudists. No matter what "ist" you are, your opinion is welcome.
If that means I'm "bent out of shape" then you really need to toughen up buttercup.
