Default Who will you be rooting for in Training Camp?

My early favorites to root for are:

Patrick Crayton - Would love to see him step up and take the fourth wideout spot. Hope to see him establish himself a bit and make it hard for BP not to play him.

Rob Petitti - Would like to see him come in and make it hard for BP not to switch LA to RT. But I will be happy for a good showing and for him to be a quality back-up.

DeMarcus Ware - Want him to end the curse of the 3 sack guys we have drafted for the last 10 years. Would love for him to "get it" from Day 1 and become a solid part of the defense.

Jason B. - Would like to see him prove everyone wrong and be the FS on the roster that we have been looking for.

That is my short list, and my longshot to do something is Jacob Rogers. Would love to see the kid get the 400 pound gorilla off his back and show the natural talent he has.

Who are you guys rooting for??

All of them, tho of course they can't all make it.

But the one I am most dying to see and see do well is Canty. I think he is gonna be a goose-bump thrilling player.

That eye issue can't get done with soon enough..

Whoever beats out Torrin Tucker and Kurt Vollers for starting right tackle. I don't care if he's on the roster right now or will be added later. I don't care if his name is Joe Dirt. If he can pass block, he's got my support.

On offense:

Morgan - never saw enuff of him to know what he could actually bring to the table

Gurode/Tucker - I'm a sucker for the underdog. Hopefully, these guys can really show something in TC to warrant another spot on the final 53

On defense:

Henry - With a 10 mil SB, you would think he has nothing to prove to the fans, but he's such an unknown. I want to be able to feel comfortable w/him manning the right side. Can't quite do it, just yet.

Newman/RW - I like the idea they both may have a bounce back year.

I could name more, but these guys standout to me.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Offense: Henson
Defense: Canty

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

For me it is Quincy Morgan and Rob Petitti.....
When asked about his mobility-

I'm rooting for Drew Bledsoe to be at least half as good as a lot of guys on this forum think he is.

Ware...we could really use a disruptive force in the front seven (regardless of how they are configured).

Crayton. I liked him from day one. Pre season last year he made a great catch of a Henson pass. All hands, no body and then turned upfield for some serious yardage. He caught my eye right there.

Pettiti. I don't like ANY of the options we have at RT.

Henson. I'll be pulling for him big time. I'd like to see a young Cowboy QB again. Ya know, I couldn't stand QC but at least he was ours. This business of Testaverde, Bledsoe, etc just doesn't sit well with me.
RIP Santiago

1. Bledsoe- We need this guy to be great.
2. Ware- Rush the QB rush the QB rush the QB
3. Newman- I know this guy has skills, now if we can rush the passer
watch the INT's rack up.
4. A kicker other than Cundiff
On the down side, I'm rooting for the 3/4 to work because even though we had the #1 defense a couple years ago, we did not dominate teams. This is what BP wants to run, so I want us to run it the best and dominate teams.

Actually, we don't need Bledsoe to be great. He only needs to play good enough within the context of our ball control offense. Bledsoe's achilles heel is that he tends to force unnecessary throws or holds onto the ball too long. If he develops good communication between himself and the offensive weapons around him, he will do fine. If he ever thinks that his arm will bail him out of trouble under pressure, he's going to fail himself and his teammates.

That good communication, and his overall healthy, are the only things I'm hoping for out of Bledsoe in TC.
