what do you think the NFL should do?
about the long offseason
i know i know, its hard on the players body for an all year thing, but what do you think the NFL can do, so as to have something for the fans to do during the offseason, espically in june and early july.

they've already done it. NFL Europe. And if that doesn't satisfy your football fetish, how about the Arena League?
These guys take a beating that most of can't imagine, and their bodies need time to recover. I don't mind the offseason as I have other sports interests.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

DK999, I think the League softened the pain of June-July when it gave us the NFL network. I find it much easier to take those abysmally endless two months knowing each weeknight there will be at least one hour of new NFL programming (plus the very worthy Playbook segment two nights a week). Even if it's just fluff and a review of the day's events, it's more than we used to have.
ESPN, the cause of so many cable bill increases, needs to do something more to keep the football fan happy, imo.

I like the idea of a developmental league, not NFLE.
Where your practice squad guys and UDFA go and play.
It would be impossible for each team to field a team, but there are enough teams running similar schemes that you could have a pod system of 4 or 5 teams.
You'd have a WCO team, a 4-3 team, etc.
You'd send your offensive and defensive players to the team(s) that best fits your system.
Each team can send a coach to the team, so your players get instruction.
6 or 8 teams playing 5 or 7 games between the draft and TC.
