Could the Answers At RT & WR Be Available Soon?
OT - Ross Verba, 8-year vet pending release from the Browns. (Perhaps sign him to a 2-3 year deal?)
WR - Rod Gardener, pending release from the Redskins. We need another vet WR going into this year. My biggest concerns with Keyshawn and Glenn are not ability but availability, as injury to either should be of concern to us at this stage in their careers. I think Gardener is a serviceable back-up who could be signed for 1-year deal.

I hope there are no casinos near Dallas because Gardner is in Atlantic City like every other week. He has a serious gambling problem. I would have to pass. Cowboys are leaning towards high quality guys this off season and he is not one of them. One thing he has going for him is that his girlfriend is smoking a 10

I think so.
A WR just became a priority for Dallas with the injury to Morgan in the mini-camp.
A #3 WR like Morgan that has sholuder problems that will require surgery after the season means he won't make it thru the season and if he does, he'll be 50% effective.at best. Have the surgery and clean it up for next year. This is June for crying out loud. He might be able to make it back before the season is over.
Look at what JuJo did in '04.
And if he goes ahead and plays, he sure won't be the go-to guy they had envisioned him to be if BP thinks he's going to cough up the ball when the DB's go for his shoulder to separate him from the ball.
This was a thin area of the team before his injury. It's now a gapping hole. Especially if either Glenn or Key don't recover fully or have a re-injury.
This position smacks of the CB Achilles heel problem of last year.
Here we are, knowing a key guy we need to rely on is dinged and has a shakey hold on his position. And we know it well in advance of TC and need to find another guy,
Will BP play the cards he has like last year or will he ask for some new cards to try to save his hand...?
We will see what he learned from last year. I'll bet Bledsoe has been talking BP's ears off about this since the Morgan injury.
"Find me another WR"..please.

More likely look for Parcells guys, Chrebet, Law or that old Tackle guy - Whats his name again LTN? Jumbo Elliot is it?
I don't advocate 2/3 of this - but its not out of Bills good ol boy network realms

Rod Gardner would be good, cause he consistent, and he could stay healthy a whole season... Just imagine him with a good quarterback in Drew Bledsoe with a excellent blocking line...

It's still hard enough for me to imagine Bledsoe being all that good. Now you want me to imagine Gardner being good with him? You're asking too much.

Elliot has been retired for about 5 years
"I could've done a $2 billion takeover (in another industry) with the capital I put in the Dallas Cowboys," he says. "I really could see (myself as) the idiot who had something real good, who blew it all to coach the Cowboys. I just knew that was going to be my legacy." Jerry Jones 9/14/2012

GAMES PLAYED
Year Team G GS
1988 New York Giants 16 5
1989 New York Giants 13 11
1990 New York Giants 8 8
1991 New York Giants 16 16
1992 New York Giants 16 16
1993 New York Giants 11 11
1994 New York Giants 16 15
1995 New York Giants 16 16
1996 New York Jets 14 14
1997 New York Jets 13 13
1998 New York Jets 16 16
1999 New York Jets 16 15
2000 New York Jets 10 0
2002 New York Jets 16 0
But he made Parcells led 2000 team and played 10 games and in 2002 played 16 games. He's 2 years removed from NFL factually. A reach for sure.
