Default Mick's Ranch Report - roster moves

Mickey said the Cowboys have released Zuriel Smith, Jermaine Brooks, TE Mike Gomez and LB Roger Cooper. They released Pagel injured and once he clears waivers, they will place him on IR. They traded OG Sam Wilder to TB for a conditional 7th which they will receive if he makes the team.

Didn't Purcells say something a day or two ago about the sidelines being too crowded at Tempe and that he was "going to do something about it?"

No big surprises with any of those moves.

Yes he did and went on to say about the cables and tripping on them three or four times

no surprises there..thanks for the report though. Zuriel has been given plenty of chances and just couldn't stick. Even though its a measly 7th I still hope this Wilder guy sticks w/ Tampa. Probably not but they are desperate on the OL so who knows.

He was on theTicket Rush.

When they waive a guy injured and then put him on IR, is that so they only have to pay the player a split contract?

I wonder with these cuts if we bring in new guys? Or basically are we starting to trim the roster already?

I thought J. Brooks might have lasted a bit longer, however.

He's become expendable because of Thomas Johnson. If Johnson doesn't get hurt & keeps pleying like he has, carson will be cut real soon.

Usually 12:35 (eastern); and 6:35 (eastern) too I believe. I think in the past he was on at 3:35 (eastern) but I'm not sure it might be interupted because of Cowboys radio. I'm not 100% on my times since its been awhile since I tried to catch all the ranch reports.

Mick delivers, because he works hard. So the bashers on this board should cut him a few days of slack.

JJT will have the roster moves in time for tomorrow's newspaper since he reads this forum regularly.
