Romo a starter in this league... WHAT!... Maybe in Chicago, where QBs are as rare as a pink NFL uniform.

Kurt Warner??? Who is he?

I don't believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence
when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game... Tom Landry

Great analysis Rack......thank you for taking the time to do it.

So does Henson have the "PEDIGREE?" He was what.....a 6th round draft pick. He QB'ed a handfull of games at Michigan and has "POTENTIAL." What makes him a better prospect than Romo? His rifle arm? If that is all it takes, is Jeff George and Ryan Leaf Canton bound? How about Hutch, big time school, handful of games at Stanford, rifle arm.........Pedigree or not?

I think that Henson is a "KIBBLES AND BITS," man myself.

Default Romo

Was a 3-Time All Ohio Valley Conference Player of the year. The only player from that conference to ever have that distinction. He also was the Walter Payton award winner in D-AA. I would say that that is pedigree.

I'm rooting for both. One could eventually be the future. One could eventually bring a draft pick. That's realistic.

For some people, the fact that he went undrafted and doesn't have a "pedigree" is all that matters. They don't care how well he performs, he didn't get drafted. That's all that matters. You can prove with a non-subjective, scientific fact like a radar gun that his arm is very adequate, and they still don't believe it. He went undrafed. That's all that counts. You can throw up all the examples of undrafted or lowly drafted QB's who have won in this league, and its not a good comparison because Romo "ain't them".

Put Bledsoe in against the 2nd and 3rd stringers that Romo has played against and watch his production sour too.

Damn that's a lot of hard work for nothing.
My friggin high school football team could outplay most Division II teams. If Bledsoe was playing division II he'd have a 10,000 yd season.

Antrel Rolle broke up the pass in the endzone. He completed a quick out to Zuriel Smith right in front of Rolle. He completed a pass on Daryl Blastock. Most of the completions came against Quentin Harris, a guy who started at FS last year for the Cardinals. Romo was playing in the 2nd quarter. It wasn't amateur night yet. That was when the #3 QB was in the game.

Again, I don't know why I bother interjecting facts. Its not like anything I say or Romo does on the field is ever going to change some people's minds.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Yep we are all meeting up and making sure to plan out an attack on Romo and his abilities. Btw aren't you usually a Fence Sitter and don't ever take a side?

Oh, yeah onto to Agenda, I will post 100 reasons why Romo will always suck regardless of his performance, Tuesday

Unbelievable to read all this discussion about "pedigree".

I think, (if you check the archives), I'm the one that first used the term, so let me say, I feel humbled and honored to have sparked so much debate.

Perhaps I did take some liberty with the word, because I have to say Nors is correct when he says that the Mannings and Simms are the only QBs today with a true "pedigree".

However, using my somewhat casual and misapplied use of the term, I can tell you that if you are a late round choice or you go undrafted as a QB you ain't "pedigreed".

Now that doesn't mean you can't acquire a "pedigree" sometime later, as Mr. Brady in NE has done quite nicely. But for every "Tom Brady" who acquires the honor there are a thousand "Clint Stoerners" who never sniff it.

Yes, I know there are risks and there are big busts with high first round picks, (see, Leaf and Couch), but for my $$, give me a high choice and a chance to acquire an Elway or an Aikman, (ie. "pedigreed" QBs coming out of college-- as I define the use of the term--), than mining in the 7th round (ie., Brady) or the College FA pool (ie., Romo and Stoerner), trying to strike gold.

As for Romo, I think I'll wait until he at least takes a snap in a REGULAR season game, (something Henson has already done I might say, with a mixture of some success and some failure), before I'm ready to annoint him our future at the QB position.
