Now, if you want to say that there is a conspiracy here...go ahead.
It seems that she said that Henson is getting better but just not enough to put him at #2.
No conspiracy there.

I don't think there's one. Infact I thought it was ridiculous to draw the comparison. She did it yesterday in her daily interview on 103 FM.
Jenny is in Henson's corner. She's been there from day one. She's looking at everything other than Henson's poor play during the 1st 2 weeks of camp as a reason why he isn't the back-up QB.
Even if Henson is improving, Romo has already got "hay in the barn" and he hasn't dropped off to the point where an improvement from Henson would push down the depth chart.
I think Romo won the job on Saturday. He was given a chance to take it and he didn't flunk. He was given the 1st chance because he earned it in camp.
Henson like a said 3 days ago is playing catch-up, but unlike Romo........Henson has the physical abilities to blow this competition out of the water. If he puts together a training camp and preseason performance in level with his expected potential. Bledsoe would then make a solid veteran back-up, that has been the hope, but it hasn't come to fruition........yet we hope

What happened?

Yes...what happened to Henson from last year to this year?

I do not hold out a lot of hope of that happening this year. Henson has a lot on his plate with the new mechanics and he is still learning the game. He was WAY behind the curve due to his limited college experience and his baseball layoff. I will really be looking for him to put it all together next year in training camp and if he doesn't win at least the backup job I will see him as a failure...but NOT until Next Year.
While I will admit to being in the Romo corner I do recognize that Henson has the better physical tools. But at this point I still see him as being behind the curve in the mental aspects of the game. There are a lot of little things like pocket awareness, reading defenses, checking down to his receiver progressions, etc. that Romo does much better than Henson at this point.

I don't think anything happened with Henson. To be honest, I think Henson threw a lot of balls in the off season. I think he changed some things in his mechanics and I think he tried to put together the offense in his head. I believe the inconsistant play from the first week of TC is a result of all of these things. Anybody who has ever played this game knows that you can't think about it when your on the field. You think and it's done. It has to be something that comes to you. I know that you know this Jim. I just think Henson is now starting to get to a point where he's not thinking as much. I think he's letting his ability play out and it's showing in practice.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to suggest anything about Romo. This is strickly about Henson here. I think that as time goes on, this kid is going to continue to get better. There is no question in my mind that his physical skills are far superior to anybody on the team (QB), at this point. If he does get it right in his head, he will surpase Romo or Bledsoe. Now, that is my opinion but I think theres a good amount of supporting evidence to confirm this opinion. That's the question thou. Can he mentally overcome?
I think Romo is doing this but it will be interesting to see how this changes, if Romo starts feeling pressure. To this point, I don't think Romo has had to deal with this yet. After the last game, I think that might have changed. I think it's interesting that after that game, Romo has not had very good practices this week. Time will tell the story and, as I and many others have stated, it's Romo's job to lose right now. We will see what happens.

A new throwing motion and Romo has shown improvement.
That combination is what put Henson behind at the start of camp, and from the game and this week that gap has closed from the reports we've been getting.
The question is, is it too late if Parcells has a certain time frame and sticks to it.

Would that be those of us who see promise in both of the young QBs? Not sure I understand what you are trying to say.

Not really saying nothing, Jack...just that I find it funny that some posters that called the QC/Hutch debate a fiasco, are the same ones doing the very same thing with these two QBs. I find that very ironic...
Anyways, I'm rooting for all three of out QBs...best man wins! Hell, if you could win us a SB, Jack, I would root for you!

Inman, I'm not saying you are wrong about Romo being named by Parcells as the #2 guy, I'm just saying that is a very, very scary thought for our season!!
If Bledsoe goes down with a long term injury you can bet Vinny will be on the first plane from JFK to DFW.

I wonder what they were saying about Warner when he was first named the starter in St. Louis.
