Default Several interesting observations from Goss' ....

Top 100 list.

1. Goss has Perry ranked at 29. Many see Perry as a 2nd rounder. He has Jackson, KJ, and Perry in the top 32. Only Greg Jones and J. Jones would make the 2nd round. T. Bell would be a 3rd rounder at 72.

2. CB D. Strait is ranked 66, so basically a 3rd rounder, while R. Starks is ranked at 68. That's the lowest ranking I think I've seen for Starks.

3. OT Nat Dorsey is number 89, which is basically the mid-bottom of the 3rd.

4. Marcus Tubbs is the 3rd ranked DT, number 24 on the overall list. Tubbs has really been moving up the draft boards.

Anyway, I thought I'd share those observations.

I've seen Perry ranked in the 60's on multiple sites.

As have I . . . . Seems as though people like him or think he's just above average.

Not really sure the reason for the disparity of opinion.

First post over at the new site.

If we could get Strait in the third I'm going to wet myself.

Particularly if we get Jackson and an OT in the second.

Thanks Boomer rang has us taking Greg Jones in the first in his final mock after Jackson and Jones are off the board. I think Jones is way to risky. He didn't even gain 700 yards this year. He was a beast as a junior but wasn't the same back. To hinge your bet in the first round that he will regain his form is mighty risky. In Rang's draft though I didn't see players after our pick who I targeted though. A trade down to the early second in that scenario may be the best bet.

Dorsey would be a nice pick in the late third or maybe fourth. He is raw like Tucker. Although he seems talented.

Very interesting on starks. I live in MD and actually went to one game last year although I didn't know who Starks was back then. I don't remember a DT for the Terps. It seems like he would be a steal though in the third though.

If Randy Starks is there in the second and Straight is there in the third and we don't take them there is something wrong with JJ and BP. I can't see that happening though. No way do I take G. Jones in the first either.

As long as we don't reach for players when we pick I will be happy. Before last year I got so tired of hearing the Cowboy bashing because of reaches!

Gosselin normally does a great job with his top-100 and his first rd projections...he's been by fat the most accurate

Interestingly, I suscribed to Ourlads scouting as well. And they only have Starks rated as the 6th best DT. They have D. Washington from Clemson, Dwan Edwards, and Tubbs, among others, rated ahead of him.

Actually, Ourlads ALSO has us taking Greg Jones in the 1st round.

I hope these guys are wrong! That would ruin my draft Saturday in a heartbeat.

I will wet myself if we just get Jackson...

I would be OK with Strait in the third... but remember this important formula...

D. Strait = M. Edwards...
