I agree Rack. If and when Henson gets used to the "speed of the game", watch out. It will just click.
Is there any reward for good other than good?

I agree with you. Tom Brady also had alota good things to say about Henson and him being a good player in the NFL.

Once he gets things and also after he had time to rest from those 5000+ throws he will be a very good QB and will learn very fast. THere have been a few times in the preseason games where he looked like things were clicking. But then other times he looked awful.

I like how Romo has come along but when things come together for Henson then Henson will be the man here.

Some interesting Henson thoughts by BZ last winter. He missed option B. Henson is NOT close to ready. At some point he has to make progress. Or...........

Rack - nice analogy

He's rusty and struggling with the speed of the game. I think behind the Confident front he shows. I s a very insecure, shattered person who lacks confidence. Nothing but a lot of failure on his resume. Will it start clicking year #3? We shall see!

He is arguing with 5 or 6 different people at the same time. He completely hijacked what should of been a well thought out discussion about Henson and added nothing to the argument worth reading. I can't believe I just read through 8 pages of this crap. I really liked the original topic but 90% of the responses were Banned's bantering with other members. I think I will join you in ignoring Banned and thank you for trying to start a very worthwhile discussion.
"Maybe next year!!" We have been saying this phrase WAYYYYY too long!!!!!!!!!!

We could never do that. We want you on that wall.....we need you on that wall.

The ignore list is the EASY way out.

I'm taking a hell of a beating back here!

Thank you. It's really that easy. Ignore me. And anyone else who has a problem with it.

If I'm not mistaken, the ignore option is right under "User CP".

Have a nice day fellas .... and jock sniffers alike.

Oddly enough, Jerry put it best with respect to Henson:

“It is not a disappointment. It’s more of a reality,” Jones said. “Quarterbacks are developed and it can take some time.”

If we do keep him, he better be in europe. The kid has the skills, he needs the experience.

Gee, I seemed to be saying Henson needed all the reps he could get, what was I wrong about again?

FYI, Nors you catch this Q&A from today's PC?

Does the 3-4 scheme produce more turnovers?

No. I wouldn’t say that. If you got good players in the scheme, that’s what produces turnovers.

Now who was saying those words for 18 months, me or you?

IMO, regardless of what has been reported and how he has actually looked, Drew Henson has improved.

I've been believing this for quite some time, but couldn't think of a way to explain it.

But here's the best I could come up with...

Drew Henson last year was at a stage comparable to taking basic math. He had a decent understanding of what he was being asked to do.

This year he's moved up to College Algebra. A lot of people struggle when they first start taking College ALgebra, but after doing a few hundred equations, they start to get it, and it gets much easier.

Rack, I want to begin by commending you on a well thought out interesting topic. Had I not been at work and had the thread not been hijacked I think this very well might have been one of the more enjoyable football discussions about QBs we've had in a long time.

There are a couple of people on this forum who simply cannot stand anything positive being said about Drew Henson, even if it makes sense. What you've said here makes good sense.

I personally want to apologize to you for the turn this thread took from this original post. I feel some of it is most definitely my fault. I look back to my report from the AZ game and ever since that thread it has been very ugly in here. My apologies. I never meant for it to go this far.

Great post. I really enjoyed it because it is about football as opposed to petty jealousy.

Funny - he did change the scheme.....

Coaching, Players, Scheming/gameplanning. This isn't like pickup basketball game.....

It all matters! Take Roy - we are now putting him in a better scheme to use his talents. We have better talent on D. Agree there. Wait till Fergi and Spears kick in. Burnett and Ware edge LB's. Canty and Rat in rotation!

Life is good!
