If you do, drive to a metro stop and then metro into the stadium. PM me and I can tell you how to get to our tailgate from the metro drop off point. Metro will be running until 2:00 a.m. after the game, so you'd have plenty of time to get back to your car.

Skins fans are saying that it will be impossible to get tickets at the game for a reasonable price, but experience has shown me that if you have a firm price and wait until kickoff or just afterwards, you can get tickets for near face value... even for a huge game.

Scalpers do not want to eat their tickets. And if you're willing to sit in nosebleeds in the endzone, I'd bet you could get in for less than $75.

Two years ago, for Spurriers first year, my friend and I went to the Monday Night game against the Eagles. It was the second game of the year, and the Skins had murdered the Cardinals in week 1. The city was all caught up in Spurrier-mania. 10 minutes before kickoff, we bought two upper deck tickets for a total of $100. And that was a game where there were tons of Eagles fans coming down and looking for tickets.

Even if you don't go to the game, come down for the party. We'd love to have you here!

Danny White and any other who plan to attend -

Just some info -

Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET, but fans are advised to be inside the stadium by 8 p.m.

Parking lots will open at 4 p.m., which is one hour earlier than usual. FedExField stadium gates will open at 7 p.m. In addition, there will be increased shuttle bus service at cash lots and coming at the Addison Road (Blue Line) and Landover (Orange Line) Metrorail stations.

Metrorail will remain open until 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Team officials stress that all fans will be required to go through security checks, including pat-downs, at all entrances to the stadium. Belongings will be checked.

The prohibition on large packages or bags at the stadium will be in place. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

Backpacks
Gym bags
Duffel bags
Packages or boxes
Briefcases
Large purses
Umbrellas

Damn.

I just checked out what it would cost me to travel to Washington.

Only about $400 from Copenhagen. Well its a little late now. I think I would need a visa and that would probably take a couple weeks to get so I won't be able to make it. But if something similar is happening on the east coast next season I would seriously consider making the trip over the atlantic.

Unfourtunately Dallas is too expensive for me to fly to. I cost arount $1000 to fly from Copenhagen to Dallas so its more than twice as expensive. So it more or less has to be a Washington or NY game.

But I will at least be able to watch the game tomorrow live. The last time I saw a Dallas game live was Superbowl XXX. I guess I'm one of those fair weather fans they allways talk about over at extremeskins

Default Dear Dallas Fans

To all the Dallas fans who live in the Washington DC area:

Are you Dallas Lovers or Redskin Haters? It's my opinion that your support for the Cowboys is a result of you Hating the Redskins. I don't believe you are true blue Dallas fans. You are primarily Redskin Haters. Because of that, your favorite team becomes the Dallas Cowboys. The rule of thumb is that if you live in the DC area and hate the Redskins, your favorite teams automatically become Dallas, Raiders and the 49ers.

Have fun at the game.

Cowboys fans: let’s show up in force for this game and take away the home field advantage from the Skins, just like we did last year!

But why wait until kickoff? Let’s get started plenty early to show all the Skins fans what they have in store for them.

To that end, I’m hosting a massive Cowboys Tailgate Party starting at 5:00 p.m. in the FedEx Field “Blue” Parking Lot.

Any and all Cowboys fans on this board (and otherwise) are invited to attend.

I’ll have Direct TV set up to watch Monday Night Countdown, as well as a second TV to show historic Cowboys Superbowl videos. I’ll try to provide at least hotdogs and beer for every Cowboys fan that wants to attend, and there will be ample grill and cooler space if you want to contribute your own food and beverage to the cause.

This is a completely false assumption. There are many reason why people are fans of teams outside of their local area. Many have to do with the respect for the history, and tradition of a team like the cowboys, some are because of particular experiences watching specific games that influence their decision to root for a team, and true, some are bandwagoneers.

Myself, I am fan because of the positive experiences I have had watching the Cowboys with my father as a little kid. There was a bond with my father and my team that developed as a result of watching games together (the same reason my 2 sons are Cowboy fans). Although I have lived in DC for 20 years, I am not originally from DC. I was raised in New Mexico, where the majority of fans at the time that I lived there where Cowboy/Denver fans because of the proximity of those teams and the television market for that area. However, I have to mention that if you are Cowboy lover, by default you must be a redskin hater especially if you live in DC.

Ralph,
You seem like a friendly guy, so I won't jump all over you on this... but your question is funny on a couple of levels.
Foremost, while there may be some who fit your opinion, I doubt if you'd find many like that on a Dallas Message Board.
I've been a Dallas fan my whole life (I grew up in Oregon). Being in DC doesn't make me like the Cowboys any MORE, it simply makes me like the Redskins LESS. Most Cowboys fans I know like the Cowboys for their history, or from where they came from originally.
But I will freely admit that my hatred for the Redskins has a lot to do with living here. Before I moved here, the Niners were my most hated team, and when I went to school outside PHilly, it was the Eagles. So you could say I'm a bandwagon HATER... but not a bandwagon fan.

Woo Hoo! We're hitting the road now! I should be firmly toasted in about 1 hour! :p

Hopefully the rain will hold out until kickoff.

We should have 20-30 people there... should be fun. Wish more of you could make it.
